This thread is for discussion for the episode The Maltese Monkey.
The Plot The Ghost Busters must stop the Fatman and Rabbit from stealing the Maltese Monkey with the help of the ghost of Big Al.
Can the Ghost Busters foil their plans?
Discuss.
Great episode. I wonder why they never used the Fatman and Rabbit characters on the cartoon.

I wonder, I think the gangsters in the episode "Really Roughing It" were based on them. Plus there was a statue in that episode. The camping episode remember?

^ Sadly I don't remember that episode because there were some episodes that I missed as a kid.

It wasn't a black guy and a white guy but it was a big gangster and a little guy.

I think a lot of stuff from the cartoon was based on the existing episodes/similar stories. In a few cases. Obviously they probably wanted to make them look more ghostly rather than just two regular guys Sorry for the bad pics. Yep its on volume 2, probably one of my favorite most memorable episodes. Where the guys run on the big watermill.

Looks like they had a little too much silver nitrate in whatever they were drinking.
If they decided to remake this episode for the Animated Series, the Maltese Monkey would be magical, and Prime Evil would therefore want it. Locating a couple of small-time gangsters who also want the Monkey, Prime recruits them by promising to summon the ghost of "Big Al".
Of course, you'd then lose the joke of Big Al looking just like Eddie in the translation, but...

Thank you for the pictures, Zack.
They do remind of the Fatman and Rabbit. I really have got to get volume 2 soon so I can see this episode.
