You're going to have a lot of fun with this, truly. ;D Of course, the names not mentioned are the ones they didn't translated or altered for the Italian market. For instance, Futura is always Futura, Fangster is always Fangster and so on.
Let's go, Go-ers:
Ghostbusters ---> Acchiappafantasmi. Literally: "Ghostcatchers". The Columbia counterparts were called so, back in 1984. They keep the name for our beloved Filmation guys too, of course. I just don't remember if the 1975 Ghost Busters were renamed, and how. Big question, even.
Jake ---> Jack. "Jake" has no easy pronunciation for an Italian child, trust me. Thus, they changed it into "Jack" because it's way more recognizable.
Tracy ---> Grunt. Yes. GRUNT. Don't ask me why. Maybe they felt "Tracy" was too feminine or something along those lines. LOL.
Ghost Buggy ---> Fantabuggy. Fanta as "fantastic".
Fuddy ---> Brillo. Literally: "I spark", or even "spark".
Prime Evil ---> Malefix. Well, Malefico means "evil".
Scared Stiff ---> Scuotiossa. Literally: "boneshaker".
Fib Face ---> Fandonia. Literally: "lie".
Bratarat ---> Ghigno. Literally: "sneer".
Haunter ---> Vishid. It speaks for itself. It's a play on "Viscid".
Captain Long John Scarechrome ---> Capitan Long John Spaventarazzi. Literally: "the one who scares the rockets" (Spaventarazzi).
Big Evil ---> Malecicc. Well, this is a play on the words Malefico ("Evil") and Ciccia ("Fat"). LOL. You must pronunce it as such: Malecitch.

Names are only a small part of the whole... you could call Prime Evil "Dimbulb" but he would be always special!

Hello Peime Good, let me make a few minor corrections on the Italian names... Here I have included the names as they appear in the Italian action figure blister, with a TM symbol. Those with an * are those that should fix... Tracy = GRUNT Futura = FUTURA Jake = JECK* Jessica = JESSICA Belfry = BELFRY Eddie = EDDY Fangster = FANGSTER Brat-A-Rat = GHIGNO Haunter = VISCID* Prime Evil = MALEFIX Mysteria = MYSTERIA Scred Stiff = SCUOTIOSSA Fib Face = FANDONIA Time Hopper = FANTAMOTO Scare Scooter = AUTO MALEFICA Bone Troller = TRONO MALEFICO Ghost Command = LA CASA DEI FANTASMI Ghost Buggy = FANTABUGGY by Ghostbusters©1987 by Filmation Associates ©Tyco Industries, inc. 1987 540 Glen Avenue Moorestown, NJ 08057 Printed in Hong Kong

Lol, Scuotiossa, thank you so much... I was strictly referring to the cartoon adaptation - not the action figures - but that is interesting nonetheless!

Watch Prime Good, the names that I have mentioned, as I have written, also appear in other Italian works, as the album Panini ... Also the names in question were covered by the copyright symbol ... Now, I do not know if the same were used for the cartoon, I have unfortunately not been able to have documents "written" about the Italian serie... I still kind of thinking that they are the official names...
