Ok, first of all I'm a Sony Ghostbusters fan, and at that I lean towards the Real Ghostbusters first season. So this was a bit of a stretch for me in watching the Live Action show.
I first got wind of the filmation series a year ago, as I was becoming more active in the sony ghostbusters fan circles. Most seemed to atleast nod to the serieses by Filmation as being interesting, and funny. So here goes my thoughts.
So far I'm watched episodes #1 -#6 and out of the six I can say that they are really fun to watch. Story plots mostly so far are used only in the humor of guest characters which is a different way of writing such stories. Best of the six is "Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf?" which parodies The Wlfman Movie which is a film I enjoy a lot. The Wolfman is epicly funny as he acts like a dog through out most of the show.
If I must note cons to the shows, its the overuse of the same sets. The Castle/House gets old after awhile. Seems the show has a very limited budget.
The best bit in the show is the odd Castle/House Door bit where they are always trying to get the doors open.
Anyways, I'll let you'll know what I think after watching the rest of the episodes.

They (the writers) played on the alchemy Forrest and Larry had at the time. Same sets... more familiarity with it, LOL.

The "overuse" of the sets also makes for a rather interesting unspoken plot-point, Devilman: ghosts can't go *anywhere* because the haunted mansion is the best place for them to "recharge" after their long trips between dimensions.

because the haunted mansion is the best place for them to "recharge" after their long trips between dimensions. It's like they absorb all the human psychic energy left in those places. Excellent theory, I like it.

Ok now I finished the dvd set. (And Finals too at college!)
One thing that sort of bugged me was how Gronk was not noted as as reappearing in "Merlin, The Magician".
However the series had some good episodes such as "Merlin, The Magician", "The Vampire's Apprentice", and "Which Witch is Which?".
Some actors seemed to really give they characters they all, which made some very enjoyable. Really not much else to say about the series.
