ok seems as tho the Merlin in "Merlin the Magician" isn't the same one in "Frights of the Roundtable (Part II)". So what do you'll think? I think they are different as I'd think Merlin in the "Merlin The Magician" would remember seeing the ghostbusters before. The other poster at the Ghostbusters Wiki disagrees and to be honest, its a tough call.

This is a fun topic! I consider the ghostly Merlin of the original series to be the same character as the living Merlin of the animated series. The living Merlin became a ghost and encountered the senior Ghost Busters in the 20th Century. I believe it dawned on Merlin (after much confusion) that he'd encountered the sons and Tracy in the past, but we missed that conversation because of that darn break between the cemetery scene and the office scene. LOL!

"My, what a huge Timey-Wimey Ball you've got there, Lou!" "All the better to confuse you with!"

The living Merlin became a ghost and encountered the senior Ghost Busters in the 20th Century. It doesn't work so in the fictional FGB universe, and you know it! They are two. One from the Living World. One from the Ghost World. Sort of "mirror thing" from Star Trek.

I remember wondering this when watching the cartoons for the first time, Merlin was in the original series, i remembered that. I expect that they weren't concerned with continuity: they just wanted to reasert controll of thier franchise from Columbia.

Gary, The Ghost World is an alternate dimension, and we ALL get a spectral "counterpart" there. Genius, if you ask me.
