Idea is in response to trughostbusters.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=other&action=display&thread=258. If I knew how to make a video game, I'd make a free one for all of us based on FGB, even if it looked like Super Mario Bros...because I still love that one! Really its do-able if you have time. Theres editing software out there to remake Super Mario World which includes changing all sprites(frames of animation of characters/backgrounds items). If you really have the time and know a bit on sprite editing I bet you could really get far with it. (Vision from my head)I can see a intro with Jake getting a call, and then they scream "GO Ghostbusters!" then the first Stage begins. Make five stages, with a map to go to the next stage. Then a boss stage with ghosts closely related to the main boss. Then leave to a new level after a story on why we're going to the next Level. Levels ideas: -Ghostbusters in their home city and time. -Ghostbusters go to the future to help Futura -Ghostbusters go to medevil past to help King Arthur -Ghostbusters go back to the time of dinosaurs -Ghostbusters go to Hauntquarters Ideas for players and characters You would play as either Jake or Eddie (Jr.) small enemies: Thunder ghosts Flying ghosts Ghosts in a trash can Drone robots Slimey slugs Dragons dark knights dungeon ghosts Dino pterodactyls Dino T-rex caveman ghosts Ok thats what I got from brainstorming lol

You know, I actually did look into a program for altering Super Mario World called Lunar Magic. But so far, I don't see how to edit or alter the sprites. I seems you can only move around sprites that are already in the game. But I hope I am wrong, or that there's another program I can use. If so, and if it's really easy to use, then I would be glad to try. Especially if others could help me with designing the sprites to look like our GB characters! Because I think I would stink at that, myself.

Because I think I would stink at that, myself. My friend I know at school has been editing his own game with the Lunar Magic program, and I played it so I know it works. Its a time consuming project at best, and it would need the following to complete if done: -Someone that knows how to use the program well that would be the tech of the group(includes uplouding sprites and menu designs) -Someone to edit sprites that will work with color templates -Someone to make the actual levels (That is the easy part) I'll talk to my friend within the next week to get info on editing and importing sprites and color templates. Then I'll decide if it would be doable. I don't promise anything till I understand the programs importing issues.
