Hey Go-ers, a "fresh" question for you: The very first time Futura met our heroes (episode #2?), did she know about them? I'm trying to determine if she comes from Zero's future or earlier in the timeline...

Not only did she know about them, but she had also "taken over" their headquarters and the business. She also regarded them as great heroes--she considers them a part of history, you might say. You don't suppose...you don't suppose there's yet another timeline where something bad happened to both fathers and sons?
Also: "determinate"? "Determine" is just fine, thank you.

Well being a 1000 years in the future, She probably only knows what is left in old books and things. I'm sure there was other Ghostbusters or atleast maintainers of the place during that time period.

Also: "determinate"? "Determine" is just fine, thank you. Don't forget I'm Italian. Well, so I'm still undecided... because Zero's technology is far more advanced than Futura's (Ghost Buggy versus Time Hopper - no contest - GB can convert itself into a TRAIN!). On the other hand, if Zero would know about past history so well, that could influence his spontaneous actions too much. I mean, it's a common "law" in the causality loop fiction you do things in the past and ONLY after some time you realize to be part of a causality loop. So that doesn't affect your thoughts and spontaneity in the moment you do things in the past! Are the "1000 years" mentioned anyway, Devil? Maybe Zero's people lost data & records, despite being living 1000/2000 years after Futura's time.

Futura is from 2960 as noted in "My Present To The Future" in the scene when the boys get in GB and then leave to go to Futura's time which was stated to be 2960. So its really like 974-975 years after 1986.

In your personal opinion, does Zero come from a further point in time or before? I'm still convinced he comes from the far far far future, maybe 4000 A.D.I mean: He built the Ghost Command ---> featuring a portal to the Spectral Space. He built the Ghost Buggy, which is the climax of the Spectre/Technology hybrid. He rejuvenated the original Ghost Busters (not canon but...). Yes, we can see Futura's time, and it looks sophisticated and all, but she also seems surprised at seeing the Ghostbusters's highly advanced technology.

He built the Ghost Buggy, which is the climax of the Spectre/Technology hybrid. I had an idea once that Mr. Zero would at some point in time come to buy the original Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at some kind of auction, and then put the "life-force" and time travel mechanisms into it, as well as giving it a good overhaul and repaint. Most if not all of the "transformations" (e.g. plane, boat, train, snow-plow, etc.) were already in place; the car, being magical, is able to do this on the fly as the 'Busters require--this explains why the Ghostbuggy is always complaining, as it needs just a little bit of brainpower to work how to do new transformations. Also, consider that the Ghostbuggy and Time Hopper share the exact same type of time-travel mechanism, they're just put in different "housings".

That's if we assume Ghost Buggy's powers are enterely magical and not technological... maybe they are a mix. Frankly, I'm not very sold with the idea they are magical. Other than the "life-force" consciousness, what type of magic does Ghost Buggy show? Hardly any. That's what I think, IMHO. So are you theorizing Zero's future **is** Futura's future?

Devil! You're fastly turning into a rabid and supreme GB expert! This info must slip into Futura's file at the Wiki. In your personal opinion, does Zero come from a further point in time or before? I'm still convinced he comes from the far far far future, maybe 4000 A.D.I mean: He built the Ghost Command ---> featuring a portal to the Ghostly Dimension. I am starting to think that Tracy may be a important link to Zero as well. Who got the tapes? Tracy. Who fixes and makes new weapons? Tracy. Tracy knows a lot of things, so maybe theres something there to think about. I don't think the 1000 years thing really damages your thoughts on the timeline, however it leaves a bit more room for ideas if you ask me. So far nothing further in the future is known in the show, tho I'm still working on filmationghostbusters.wikia.com/wiki/Go-er_Chronology .I guess its time to get all episodes mapped out. I am trying to leave the facts to others to work with. I'll let you think out Zero's ultimate role. I'm hoping sometime later after the interview with Larry Storch is done, we could ask Lou Scheimer questions. I bet he had more ideas to share he didn't get to.

I'm stuck on thinking unlike RGB which has everything under the hat of science including ghosts and hauntings, That FGB may be more magic and supernatural unexplained events. Science isn't ever really pushed in the show. Now the gadgets thing is actually used in RGB's as well for the Ecto-1 which had a raft, jumpers(makes vichele go airborn), and weapons and such. GB is much like the ecto-1 in that respect. I think the time travel thing may be supernatural and not machnical in nature. Now note, this is only my thoughts. I havn't spent time on this to really feel strongly on this subject matter.

I heard somewhere that Ghost Command is haunted, like the clock, phone, etc. Might be wrong, because we know some things HAD to be built, like GB (haunted or not) - so it's hard to be sure, but I LOVE this discussion! It'd be great if somehow we came to a conclusion, maybe by talking to Lou, as Devil said. You gotta love the mysterious Zero! By the way, Larry worked with those haunted file cabinets, so we know there was some haunted stuff going on even back then. Is Ghost Command supposed to be a diffferent place from the GB75 office? Or just re-furbished?

I heard somewhere that Ghost Command is haunted, like the clock, phone, etc. I think the Ghost Command was a bold "experiment", the ultimate fusion between technology and supernatural forces in order to "fight fire with fire". And yes, it is HAUNTED.Nix@forgive me, buddy, I've accidentally deleted your meaningful and poignant reply, so please repost it!

I think the time travel thing may be supernatural and not machnical in nature. A lot of "classic" energy emission is involved in the process, and the modus operandi makes me think it is heavily technological.

Okay, then, as I was saying, before ^ this one ^ accidentally deleted my post : Devil was talking about how he thinks FGB's version of time-travel is magic-based. I agreed with him, stating that the Ghostbusters always seem to "blend in" with their surroundings--almost everyone treats them as one of the locals, and the Important Historical Figures in that location regard them with no suspicion. This is why I figure that the Ghostbusters are incapable of changing history, instead merely restoring it. Only Prime Evil and his minions are capable of altering the timeline in any significant way.

Only Prime Evil and his minions are capable of altering the timeline in any significant way. Nix: they just think to be able to do so, but they are just fulfilling their predestinated "roles" in the bigger causality loop scheme of the things.
