Does anyone know of any books that are similar in tone or content to The Ghost Busters? I'm reading Cornelia Funke's Ghosthunters series (for younger readers) now, and they're pretty good, but I want more!

Recently I, with the help of my friend (who hasn't seen any of GB75), have started to write a story (about a small paranormal investigations firm) that is very much inspired by GB75. The story is going to be the first in a series, and I think any fan of GB75 will get a great kick out of it.

Thanks! I hope to have a polished draft finished within a month, and then I'm going to look into self-publishing it on Lulu.com or some such site.

Story update: I ran out of steam a while back and haven't yet finished the story. Most of it's done, but I don't know when I'll complete it. If anyone would like to read what I have so far, I'd be willing to send a copy.

Recently, at the local library, I found a novel called "Ghost of a Chance," by Simon R. Green. It's the first in a series called "Ghost Finders." The trio of main characters (a geeky tech girl, a gloomy psychic, and a Bond-type guy) are essentially ghost busters working for the Queen. The book is extremely glib British urban fantasy, so if that's your cuppa, definitely check it out!

I'm about 70 pages into the novel right now, and it definitely doesn't resemble the Sony or Filmation GB besides the fact that the characters' job is to "bust ghosts."

Story update: My friend and I are going to craft a module based on my GB75-style story for a pen & paper role-playing game called Adventure! (a pulp era game by White Wolf), and I want to get some feedback for the as-of-yet unfinished story. If anyone would like to read it, PM me with your email address and I'll send you a copy within a day or two. The subject of the email will be "Collins & Murphy, Paranormal Investigations: The Case of the Spectral Bootlegger." Thanks!
