Not only ghosts... !!! I noticed that the Ghost Busters faced many supernatural types, not only ghosts! Quite a contradiction ahahahah

Which episodes are you thinking of? Granted I haven't watched all of them yet - but in some they were up against a ghost of a monster. Specifically I'm thinking of "Dr. Whats-His-Name" They didn't really battle Dr. Frankenstein and the Monster - they fought the ghosts of those two individuals. But I am interested to see some of the other things they fought. My knowledge of OGB is limited.
Also, is it so much a contradiction as simply a trade name? "Ghost" is a very generic word. (Like how we in Texas use the word "Coke" when referring to just about any carbonated beverage). However, I will grant you that I found a kid's movie (though I have not seen it) called "Monster Squad." On the back of the DVD box, the first line read: "You know who to call when you have ghosts, but what about monsters?" Obviously this is a reference to Columbia's GBs, but your same point is still made - how different is a GHOST buster from a MONSTER buster. Sounds like a good line of discussion to me. Open up the floor.......

Open up the floor....... It's simple, really. Ghosts are just a shade harder to bust than monsters, what with their being dead and all. Anyone can bust a monster, but it takes a certain amount of genius and expertise to bust a ghost.

As far as I know the only enemy that wasn't a ghost was Mr. C from "The Canterville Ghost". Yeah the term ghosts seems to be different between sony and flimation. Ghost for filmation ghostbusters must be more like undead.

Ghost for filmation ghostbusters must be more like undead. No, more like "interdimensional counterparts". Like the Mirror Universe in 'Star Trek'.
