Were there zombies in the Ghost Busters cartoon?

I'm not sure if there were actual Zombies, but I do know that Long John Scarechrome planned to kill the Ghostbusters with a Zombie Bomb. Naturally, it instead blows up in his face, causing him to crash into Hauntquarters. The weapon seems to have been named just so Prime Evil can deliver the immortal line:
"Anyone ever tell you you DRIVE like a ZOMBIE?"

Is it me? Or does prime evil just seem out of place?

Glad you all like it! I agree with Prime Good, I love the picture! It's from a shirt. Is it the shirt billiris85rulz mentioned in this post? www.trughostbusters.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=vault&thread=269&page=1#2027I see what Sticks means - Prime Evil and the logo are the only things with the definite FGB86 look to them. And even the logo's ghost face has green slime on top! Plus it's frowning, after it was stated in another thread (which seems to be true) how the face smiles on merchandise, and frowns in the FGB universe. So this is a unique item, indeed! Good question Brandon - I don't recall zombies either...LOL I love the Long John Scarechrome story, Nix! And despite the pic looking different from a FGB86 style background, Prime Evil seems happy to have popped up there! I really wish there was a list of every bit of merchandise made for FGB, with lots of high quality photos! This is why I like to share anything I can, and I appreciate everyone else's efforts as well! Sure, it's fun to discover new items bit by bit, but I still wish we knew what was/is out there.

I think LJS would be considered a somewhat of a cyborg zombie, he's less of a clunker than scared stiff, but under all of his beard, metal head you can really see more skeleital features. So maybe FGB86 did have zombies

Good call, Sticks! I love how there are robot ghosts in the show...correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't recall such a thing before FGB86 arrived and brought Scared Stiff, Prime Evil, and others to our attention!

I think when it also comes to scared stiff and prime evil in question I think the both of them are more like alchemic beings, prime evil being the omega and constructing the robots then infusing them with souls, thus the entire body of the robot would be magical in a way and when hit with the demater they completely vanish. Because it always bothered me, if its a robot ghost, wouldn't the robot be a shell and the ghost be taking over it like a virus in a computer, then when busted the ghost is sent to limbo while its empty shell is left behind?

True - even when I said "robot ghosts" the emphasis was on ghosts, with a robot style. I have no idea how the two can be combined and still work as they do. At least you have a theory about it!

A defunct robot thrown away and left to rot in a junkyard, perhaps? The Japanese believe that everything has a "soul"--a casually discarded robot would no doubt come back as a ghost.

OFF TRACK, Go-ers. The Ghost World is a parallel universe which mirrors ours, the only difference being that matter is "ghostly" and not "real" like in our universe. If we got Frankenstein, Wolfman, robots and witches's counterparts, there must be some serious ghostly zombies in THAT dimension too! Good call, Sticks! I love how there are robot ghosts in the show...correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't recall such a thing before FGB86 arrived and brought Scared Stiff, Prime Evil, and others to our attention! Another point which makes 1986 FGB totally outstanding. No, technically speaking Prime Evil was a formerly 100% ghostly matter being which replaced some parts of his ghostly matter body with ghostly matter cyborg stuff.

I think Prime Good is really Zero! What an honor it must have been to have Mr. Scheimer portray you in FGB75, Zero!
