LOL. We could arrange an interview with the guys that worked on FGB. That would be ace material. We need to know more "secrets" of the show from the inside.

It appears at the start of FGB (cartoon series) they simply were handed over the business My impression was that - before passing the torch to their sons in FGB86 - they had heavily lowered their once full-time commitment to Zero's cause.

The Secrets of Isis is now available (along with the first season of the Ghostbusters cartoon) on Hulu! Hulu? Open a thread on this!

My impression was that - before passing the torch to their sons in FGB86 - they had heavily lowered their once full-time commitment to Zero's cause. I kind of thought that too. It could be a little bit of the other way, as well-- Zero quietly shutting down Ghostbusters branches worldwide because the demand for their services got smaller and smaller. By the time Prime Evil crossed over into our dimension, the rest of the world was completely unprepared (hence the flying, time-traveling car).

Yeah, Filmation definitely has its place in history, I'd say. I'm more a fan of their live-action TV shows from the '70's (even though I was born in '82) like Shazam!, The Secrets of Isis, and The Ghost Busters, than their animation. The Secrets of Isis is now available (along with the first season of the Ghostbusters cartoon) on Hulu! So you enjoy the "Film" part more than the "ation" part. How great they were able to do so many types of shows, both animated and live action. Right on about them having secured a place in history - they sure have! And very cool info, flashback72! Thanks!

If it weren't for The Secrets of Isis, we'd have gotten a second season of Ghost Busters.

If it weren't for The Secrets of Isis, we'd have gotten a second season of Ghost Busters. A true mystery to me, since 'The Ghost Busters' was reportedly a hit with strong ratings.

A true mystery to me, since 'The Ghost Busters' was reportedly a hit with strong ratings. The thing is, Filmation just wanted to try something new. That's all. Even Tuck, Storch, and Burns were surprised to hear that it wasn't to be renewed.

I thought someone on here mentioned that Tucker and Storch signed on for the 15 episodes and then went on to other projects, not figuring that it'd be as successful as it was; Don't blame Isis!

I wouldn't even mind a modern reboot of GB75 as long as they kept it stapstick and funny. Unfortunately, so many modern day film versions of old TV shows are horrible (I'm looking at you, Dukes of Hazzard movie). filmationghostbuster.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=tales&action=display&thread=286I direct you to my Live-Action Motion Picture Script thread. So far, I've got it shaping up to look like a National Treasure-type adventure.
