Hello, from the one of the colder parts of the US. I've been a big fan of this show for years...I prefer this one over the Columbia Ghostbusters. I'm glad there's a forum dedicated to this series; I'm looking forward to lurking and posting more in the future.

Thanks. I browsed for my own avatar, instead of picking from the crop. I found this forum through lots of Google searching. I'm definitely posting more, and at some point, write some fanfiction.

Heeey 1980'S Cartoon Junkie, I love your avatar, and you're speaking right from my heart with the personal text below it! (The ones who know my fanfictions know how true it is! ;D) I've just read your blog - it's amazing. It seems to me as you're reading my mind in many facts. I'm very exited to read more from you - especially your fanfiction(s). - Tasha

Hi, guys. I'm one of the forum's original members from when it first started. I might as well introduce myself like a newbie, though, because I've been away since...ooh, November/December at least.
Been working...found myself a job at a credit union. I have to say, it's a little bit like a Dalek--it exterminates much of my free time. Still, the money's quite good.
Today happens to be one of a few days off for me, and that's why I dropped by.

He's back...and it's about bloody time, too!
It's me again, but now I've got a spiffy new username.
I know I've been away for a while, but only because of the slightly incompetent "new Proboards." I kept trying to reset the password, but it never took. Ah well.
Work has kept me away from here and from most forums, but I'm back with loads of new ideas.

Bonjour, Hello, guten Tag, buongiorno ! I'm a french fan of Ghostbusters, both real and original I found your discussion board after a research about Filmation Ghostbusters cosplays (very nice work you did on yours by the way). Very few french fans remember or are aware of Filmation GB: indeed there were no rerun nor DVD edition (I have to buy english edition of the DVD). The cartoon was broadcasted at the end of the eighties. I was a little kid at the time (about eight or nine year old) but I still remember. In a general way I'm a fan of Filmation cartoons. For a long time I believed these Ghostbusters were a rip-off of the Real. I was very surprised to discover there was a live action tv show long before the movie. I came here first for cosplay purpose but I'm open to discussion about both the animated and live show. I just discover the live show and I'm in love of it! As you can figure out Tracy is my fav' character Best regards!

Welcome to the FGB board, tracytrainedby! Enjoy yourself here and have fun ! It´s nice to hear from a French fan. This board has become really international. My cosplay partner Tasha and I are from Germany. Speaking of cosplay, it´s really cool that you found this board while searching for Filmation´s Ghostbusters cosplay. It seems that there aren´t many FGB cosplayers. So far Tasha and I only found pictures of an Italian Prime Evil and Mysteria cosplay and of an Eddie Steampunk-like cosplay. And some pics of an American fan who once was around at a convention in a Live Action Tracy costume! I´m a huge and devoted Filmation´s Ghostbusters fan. I love both Filmation´s GB shows but I prefer the cartoon. And as you would guess by my cosplay and avatar, my fav character is Jake . He always was and always will be! Filmation´s Ghostbusters made its debut on German TV in April 1989. I remember watching the show and already liking it a lot. It´s great that it´s not forgotten and still has its fans (called Go-ers) worldwide. It truly deserves to be remembered because it´s a wonderful, fantastic and very creative cartoon with loveable characters and its own kind of magic. Best wishes from Jakey

Hello, Thanks for your welcome I'm part german from my father's father side. Alas I never was fluent in german und ich habe viel vergessen Indeed it's hard to find FGB cosplay. I have never saw one in France. It was broadcasted the same time as Real GB but everyone seems to have forgotten. Here are some pictures I found on the world wide web: It deserves to be remembered indeed Their universe was fun and eerie in its own way At the end of september me and some friends (1984 Ghostbusters fans) are going to shot pictures and a (very) short movie in an abandonned house: it will be a FGB and Sony GB crossover. If we succed I'll show you the result. Best regards

Hello, Thanks for your welcome You´re welcome! Nice to have you here! I'm part german from my father's father side. Alas I never was fluent in german und ich habe viel vergessen At least you seem to speak a little bit German . And maybe there´s a chance to refresh some of it someday? Indeed it's hard to find FGB cosplay. I have never saw one in France. Yeah, that´s a shame. I would love to see more FGB cosplayers. There are so many RGB cosplayers, and they all look the same (overalls, proton packs). The FGB characters are quite unique with their uniforms and style . Here are some pictures I found on the world wide web: Great! I know both pics. The first is from Ghostbusters Sicilia I think, and the other pic features the "Steampunk" Eddie (the cosplayer said on his webpage that he made up a "steampunkish" outfit for Eddie). At the end of september me and some friends (1984 Ghostbusters fans) are going to shot pictures and a (very) short movie in an abandonned house: it will be a FGB and Sony GB crossover. If we succed I'll show you the result. Sounds like an interesting and funny project, and including the FGB is a great idea. I look forward to seeing it . Best wishes

And maybe there´s a chance to refresh some of it someday? Some remnant of my school years. There will be a chance for sure: you never can forget a language you have learned. All I need is some practice and maybe a trip to Germany someday. Indeed. Funny thing is when I was part of a Real Ghostbusters group I tried to put some diversity with different uniform (another than the beige one) but it was not very popular among fans. And they have interesting foes. I didn't plan to make a steampunk Eddie but I think mine will look more steampunkish than his because of my clothes choice (I have a leather jacket and it has a bit of steampunk flavor when I put it on). Thanks ! Best regards
