I'm glad to have found a forum for the FGB, especially with a lack of hostility towards the RGB. Happy to be here and Thanks to Prime Good for setting this place up. No hostility here. I just don't like the REAL GB series that much, I found it as being very sub-par and overrated in terms of realization, but nonetheless I enjoyed some episodes out of it. Also, I'm a moderate fan of both the live action movies dedicated to Reitman's Ghostbusters. It's just that I find either the renditions of Filmation Ghostbusters as being vastly superior. I agree with that. I like RGB as well but I think it is overrated as well as the live action movie and I really didn't care too much for the sequel at all. I also want to welcome all of the new members and I hope you enjoy the forums here.

Hi! I loved Filmation's live-action Ghost Busters as a kid. I also enjoyed the animated Filmation Ghostbusters. It's nice to meet all of you. This is a great forum. Nice job Prime Good! Man you're pretty much welcomed, this place is growing and growing, bring your friends here! If something, you can also post on the Live Action 'Ghost Busters' board.

El Greetingso! Came here after getting an invitation from a poster at He-Man.org (Prime Good, was that you?)
I love the 1986 FGB. I watched the live-action episodes included on the disks but didn't really enjoy them as much. Real Ghostbusters I think is eh, okay, but I love the movies.
By the way I have a question... has anyone else noticed that words like "assume" and "assist" get censored?

Yeah, the 1986 Cartoon series is far superior to the Live Action series, I totally agree with you and share your same feelings. I never liked RGB. As far as the censorship is concerned, that's proboards! I can't really do nothing for it... it's the system. You're welcomed! Bring your friends here.

Actually, I run a Proboards forum too and there is no such censorship.
There's a profanity filter, and its ON by default, but you can turn it off. It should be in the Admin options.

Greetings everyone! I'm from Minnesota and I'm a BIG fan of Filmation's live-action Ghost Busters TV series that started it all, and the follow-up Ghostbusters animated series. They are indeed the TRUE and original Ghostbusters. I'm so glad that I discovered this great fan forum and now I'm a member. Thanks Prime Good! I mostly got a kick out of Tracy. What a great and reliable ape! I'm the Webmaster of a Web page titled "The Original Ghost Busters Fan Page" that I recently published online and I know you will enjoy it. A lot of research, time, and effort went into my Web page. So, you are all in for a treat. Enjoy and let me know what you think of it? Below is the Web address: The Original Ghost Busters Fan Page community-2.webtv.net/Ghost_Buster1975/TheOriginalGhost/

OGB, You're very welcomed here. Guess why? What a great fan joined our roster! Your page is great, and I'm sure you're going to work on it even further in order to make the definitive resource for FGB fans. What's about a whole site? Many thanks for the link: actually, we need to bring as many FILMATION's GHOSTBUSTERS fans as we can here. If something, you could underline the link for the TRUE GHOSTBUSTERS FAN FORUM a little more, that would help! By the way, I'm glad this place is growing. OGB, welcome again!

Thank you Prime Good for the warm welcome and the kind compliments about my Web page. Not to brag, but when I built The OGB Fan Page, I only saw 3 episodes of the live-action GB TV series on VHS, and what was left in my memory from years ago watching Filmation's Ghostbusters animated series! Plus, cross-referencing information on the internet as well. Now that I'm starting to watch the live-action GB TV series, and the follow-up animated series on DVD, I do indeed plan on working on it a little more one day at a time adding more information. However, all I'm working with is the MSN (Web TV) Pagebuilder. So I realy can't build it much more impressive looking than it already is. Oh well, something is better than nothing. Not only I underlined the link for the TRUE GHOSTBUSTERS FAN FORUM as you requested, but now have the link in the eye-catching color of RED! I'm sure you approve of that.

OGB, Many thanks, that's truly great! Brillion. I think you should pick-up someone skilled in web-design (a friend?) and build one hell of a site to celebrate the TRUE Ghostbusters in the proper way !!!!!!!! I smell a Ghost Command Fansite in the air. ;D Also, I'm waiting for more and more imputs and suggestions about the GB "mysterious" origins and background stories... in order to solve the countless enigmas scattered throughout the two series !!!!!!!! 8-)Awesome

Hello, there. My name is Nix, and I've come from what some would call the "*Real* Ghostbusters Forums". I just joined today, and I would like to start things off here by giving a great big hand to Zack, who introduced me to this place. Thank you, Zack. Here's a belated Christmas present: *gives Zack an oversized prop hand* There you go, a great big hand. Did I lie? ;D Okay, that's out of the way. Personal history...personal history... I guess you could say it began when, at age 6, I got a copy of The Real Ghostbusters: The Revenge of Murray the Mantis and Other Stories for Christmas. And then, three weeks later, the VCR ate the tape. So, at the repair shop, I noticed a copy of the Filmation's Ghostbusters: Volume 5, and, with some other videos, we got that, reasoning that it would do just as well. Needless to say, that was almost the only Ghostbusters animation I saw until the RGB DVDs came out last year (now why won't Sony be good and give us season sets?) Oh, and one other thing: A few days ago, I was wondering where my penchant for putting bizarre/creepy gadgetry into my artwork comes from, and then I realized: "ah, yes, that'll be Filmation's Ghostbusters again (specifically the transformation sequence)." All the best, from one forum to the other, NIX

Nix, Peculiar story. You're pretty much welcomed, I "sense" you're here to stay! Feel free to bring any other ***REAL*** cough Ghostbusters fan genuinely interested in the FILMATION's GHOSTBUSTERS as well! Yeah, the creepy stuff. That's what I love in the sequence the most. All those bones... and scary faces...
