As far as I know there's no concrete information, where the old office of »Spenser, Tracy & Kong« had been. Am I right or are there any clues I have overlooked? Can anyone give me a hint?
In case nobody knows exactly, where the location of the office was, does anyone have an idea, where the office could have been?

Oh, I don't mean the Ghost Command but the old office of the fathers from the live action series! The adress of the Ghost Command where the juniors do business is 13 Canterbury Street, New York. Or do you mean the first of their fathers office had been in New York, too?

The location of the store where the original group received their assignments may be clue to the location of the office in the series. According to the Internet Movie Database, Lechler's Grocery and Hardware Store was located in Piru, California (northwest of Los Angeles).

Frankly, it always looked to me as being located in California, Los Angeles or San Francisco, the former more than the latter. Unquestionably, the 1986 Ghost Command is located in New York, near the Twin Towers (rest in peace, victims ).

And would that mean Tracy HAS a *grandfather* in the past and thus he CANNOT come from Zero's future time as hypothesized?

Time to add another wrinkle to our theory. Well, it's what we do best as Go-ers! So I said earlier that Tracy came from Zero's future. Fact. BUT! The fact that he has a grandfather in the past does nothing to contradict the future thing! Either A) Tracy was born in the past and got TRANSPORTED into the future [his lineage contains such extraordinary fellows as Daniel Quinn's Ishmael and Fatz Geronimo from Showbiz Pizza Place, and this is therefore what drew Zero's attention] or B) Spenser and Kong read a file on Tracy from the future, saw the reference to "King Kong" (which, like 1953's War of the Worlds, does take place in the FGB universe) and make A JOKE about KK being Tracy's grandfather.

Wow, reading over this thread gives me a headache.
I want to throw in my 2 cents in on this. My biggest issue is the whole California thing. The show was filmed there, but by no means does it mean the stories are based there. We're talking a filmation live action show for petes sake. They used the same 4 locations on almost every episode. I doubt a location was in mind in the canon and I feel we're over analyzing it. Lets not get nicky picky like the "other" ghostbusters fan circles. Most likely the location in the scripts was "a city". Which if we take that as the truth of the matter, much like many other things, then that makes whatever happened in the newer cartoon the canon on the issue. So I am thinking NY, NY. I rather it be CA to be honest, but this is what I'm seeing.

I tend to agree with Devil, but it still feels like California to me. And it rules! Of course, we're talking about a parallel Earth California as well as an "alternate" N.Y. Again, Twin Towers anyone? That would explain why the Ghost Busters didn't use the Ghost Command THAT much. Different locations. Plus, Nix, I think that was a joke. I mean, King Kong is a gigantic mutant gorilla, how could it reproduce and spawn a "normal sized" mutant genius gorilla like Tracy or Tracy's father? I think it was meant as being a mere joke from Kong and Eddie at Tracy's expense. Have you got a transcript of the exact quote?

From Scripts on dvd... i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm42/devilmanozzy/Tracyfatherjoke.pngLocations in episode "The Vikings Have Landed". Pretty much all 15 episodes scripts said the same thing. i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm42/devilmanozzy/locations.pngAs for anything remotely suggesting they are in new york... check this out in script for episode "Only Ghosts Have Wings". i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm42/devilmanozzy/Storchbrooklynbridge.pngProbably falls under "just a joke" but it is about New York.

They do NOT mention "King Kong", but a mysterious grandfather crawling upon the building. So at this point we can pretend that - on the TRACY/ZERO Earth - a "King Kong incident" happened, but involving a normal sized King Kong-type gorilla. Nix was right... something related to Tracy's "file" explaining about this past incident. And it could and should belong to Zero's alternative dimension Earth anyway, not the mainstream Earth where the FGB adventures occur. And YES: it's NEW YORK!

Hi all! Haven't been on here for a long while.
I like to think the GB75 crew operates in a Californian city called Richardsville (after the writer Marc Richards).
