Well, This idea just popped-up in my mind today. His agility is enhanced/augmented and far above the human standards. His nose twitches when ghosts are nearby. Both the abilities don't seem to be magic-powered; maybe they are the result of a "spontaneous" genetic mutation. In a way, Jake Kong Jr. is a mutant.

Nah, Tracy's the mutant. He's like Beast, but without the blue fur.

Nah, Tracy's the mutant. He's like Beast, but without the blue fur. WELL, surely as hell Tracy is a mutant animal. Genius-like brain, extremely anthropomorphized. Since some unknown spell rejuvenated it (like the other two original Ghost Busters), technically speaking Tracy is a "magic-altered mutant animal". I still think Jake has natural powers!

It really seems interesting that his nose is twitching everytime a ghost is close. He has some kind of natural powers, yes.

I resumed this thread: What if his abilities are linked to his safari-punk uniform? Do you remember any instance in which he displayed such abilities without wearing the uniform?

I would not talk of mutations ... Jake is just athletic ... As shown in an episode out of uniform, as did the "parallel". His innate agility is emphasized in the carton to amaze the children, nothing more:) This is my opinion ... Tracy even for me is a mutant, but only a special gorilla!

Yeah, I'm also pretty sure Jake displayed agility and nose twitching without wearing his uniform.

Well, one thing is for sure, left alone agility (you can achieve that through intensive training), the Ghost-Detecting Nose Twitching is a mutant trait.

Could be, but I once read a story about a guy whose feet would itch and "burn" the closer he got to water! It might be something like that.
