I got all of them so I'm content...haha we got really lucky. The Real Ghostbusters was a million times more popular and all we've gotten on that front is about 3 volumes with 3 or 4 eps each. Out of 140 eps, that's not too good for a cartoon that was one of the most popular franchises of the 80s. Everything else is out on DVD. I never would have guessed in a million years Filmation's GB would get put on DVD but thankfully, it did.
Not sure how they're selling, but I personally enjoyed every minute of every episode of FGB I am able to watch on DVD now.

I would like to think the DVDs are selling well I have Volume 1 and plan to get Volume 2 and the live action Ghost Busters soon.
The only reason I don't have them yet is because other things keep coming up.

I think all the FILMATION DVD sets (including the GB trio) should be regarded as "sleeper hits" - they sell very slow, but at a good, promising rate. In the end, I think sales will be enough "high" by the average standar, which is a great thing if you ask me.
FILMATION's cartoons are pure genius. They deserve every grain of popularity they achieved, and FAR BEYOND that!
Anyway, 'The Real Ghostbusters' was just garbage - IMHO a terrible, horrid cartoon. In Italy, Jack, Eddie and Tracy were THE REAL DEAL, the far more popular cartoon out of the two "Ghostbusters" animated products released at the time.

^ I actually liked the Real Ghostbusters but I don't think it's the greatest cartoon ever made either. To me the first three seasons of RGB were good but went downhill after that.

I purchased Volume 1 at Best Buy and I'm glad that I did because it was the LAST ONE LEFT on the shelf! I ordered the live-action GB TV series, and Volume 2 at DeepDiscount.com and know for a fact that Volume 2 was recently sold out there. So, I'm sure that the DVD sets are selling very good, Prime Good. It is strange how so many think that The Real Ghostbusters are "far superior" and yet, there are only three volumes on DVD with an average of 4 episodes per disc officially released! Oh well, it doesn't bother me at all. I used to love The RGB's when I was younger, but now that I'm older and realize that Filmation's Ghostbusters are the ORIGINAL Ghostbusters, I'm becoming more of a Filmation GB fan every day.
