I don't remember how often I have seen the cartoon as a child. This year - after I finally found the series on DVD - I am watching the episodes now for the third or fourth time.

Something I thought about as I was posting in the Belfry thread: What's the reason for the stone tablet? Someone has to be responsible for that game the boys had to play before they could get to their fathers and save the future, but I wonder who and why? One of my thoughts seems to be a little bit illogical because it would be a very dangerous game, but I think it's an interesting idea: Maybe the fathers of Eddie and Jake had devised the whole thing for the boys, so that they have to develop more self-confidence. Does anyone have more ideas?

The one that made the stone tablet too I believe? That helped the guys find their dads. That's interesing because this subject confuses me a little. I agree, it seems like Belfry is responsible for that stone tablet because at the end of the episode as Eddie asked who has made the stone tablet, Belfry roars with laughter and winks at the viewers. But if Belfry knew about all of that, why didn't he tell the ghostbusters where they can find their fathers and what they have to do to save the future? Why this odyssey? The only possible answer I can imagine is, that Belfry was afraid the others wouldn't take him seriously (did he know Jake before…? ), because otherwise I would wonder if he's really a friend of the ghostbusters. Very strange… Do you have any other ideas?

I love Fred, especially in my favorite episode »The Battle For Ghost Command«! Do you remember the skelescope? It has an interesting personality. My favorite scene comes from the episode »Country Cousin«, when Belfry and Beauregard needed it's help.

Futura could be a mutant - as well as Morrow and their parents - and it has been established Belfry is a mutant bat belonging to a colony. I'm not sure if the headsets of the future people are necessary to use these special skills.

Stray Cats - Gene and Eddie
This is funny, because one of Corkys friends is called Gene (he's the computer specialist in »Knight Of Terror«).
(This song is an homage to Gene Vincent and Eddie Cochran.)

I hope there isn't already a thread like this: A short while ago I got an idea! There are some nice songs out there, which remind of the ghostbusters. How about collecting them here? I will start with these ones: DJ Ironik - Tracy Lisa Loeb - Jake The Teen Queens - Eddie my love Wolfgang Petry - Jessica Bejelit - The Haunter Of The Dark E Nomine - Mysteria And this is the song, why this idea occurred to me: P.M. Sampson feat. Double Key - We Love To Love I heard it today, and even though Tracey is written with an »e« in the lyrics (Hey, Tracey, I got somethin' to tell you…), I have to think about Tracy… Do you know some more »ghostbusters songs«?

That's right, but in our period there are people with different skills, too. I'm not sure if the term »mutant« is appropriate to explain her powers. Maybe she simply uses the skills and works them out more intensive than other people. I'm sure using these skills is physically demanding, so not everyone will be interested in learning them.

Well… 974 years are a long time. Who can predict, where evolution will go?
