Even though we know the writers of both the 1975 and 1986 shows never took things too seriously, I think we could have a lot of fun inventing explanations for everything within each series, and to connect both series...so I've enjoyed these discussions!

I agree, the show is great fun! And it's another chance to see our ghost busting heroes together! One episode in season two (first disc, perhaps?) has them afraid of ghosts...as hard as that may be to believe...

Nix and Prime Good got Mr. Storch's manager to visit us here! HOORAY!
And to learn that Kong Sr sent Prime Good a personally autographed Ghost Busters photo from Mr. Storch, and how much Prime Good appreciated it, was just SO excellent!

Thank you for the welcome, Devil of the Ghostbusters! Great to be here! Hey Prime Good, how did you first encounter FGB 1975 and 1986?

My Grandma had a tape of Charlotte's Web recorded off TV in the 1980's and it had commercials for Sectaurs toys. The toys looked EXCELLENT, and my friend had one! The commercials would leave you wondering what would happen in the next one! It was always "to be continued..."

There are some things that need answers, like: If Tracy is the same character in the 1975 show and the 1986 cartoon, then why do Jake Jr and Eddie Jr seem surprised to see Tracy in the first 1986 episode? Surely they met Tracy as they were growing up...right?

Hi everyone! This is my first post. I've watched Filmation's Ghostbusters ever since the 1980's when it was on TV when I was little. I don't know what episode I saw first, I just recall always watching it and loving it as far back as I can remember! I also remember a commercial from that time with GhostBuggy in it. It showed GB sleeping, and how he gets a little grumpy when they wake him up and he knows it's time to go to work One Christmas in the 1990's when the show had been gone for about seven years already, (which seems like FOREVER at that young age), I got some official FGB VHS tapes and I was soooo happy beyond words! And one summer around that time I saw a FGB t-shirt, which also amazed me! For years, I never knew any other merchandise existed - all I knew was that the show was a favorite of mine. Then one day in the 2000's I did an internet search for FGB and learned about the 1975 live action show, which I never even knew existed! I saw pictures from it and thought I would never get to watch it, but still hoped someday I could. Eventually they released 3 DVD sets covering the entire FGB universe, and I also learned about more and more merchandise made in the 1980's for the FGB cartoon. Then one day someone quoted Prime Evil on another message board, and I sent them a message praising them for being a fan, and they told me about this fantastic message board! I'd like to thank them for directing me here, and all the fans for the success of this site. Thank you Prime Good, for giving us FGB fans a place to go!
