Well I'm still besides myself weither or not it will happen, but just this morning Ghostbusters 3 ranked 5 on yahoo's popular search, guess the reason is Sony is trying to kick Ivan Reitman from doing 3 and wanting to leave it to new directors, which I imagine its nobody to important. I can see this being a serious issue, and probably the one of the last hurdles to get this going. I don't think it would be right without Ivan directing, unless maybe.. *cough* .. Sam Raime would be intrested lol.

I hope Ivan returns too, and I wish Dan and Harold had written the script! Also, after reading that Bill Murray will only do it if they kill Peter Venkman off in the first few minutes (because he says that making a 3rd CGB film is ridiculous) I say, it's not Shakespeare - they are fun films, so the amount of sequels doesn't matter, nor does their age. There are tons of sequels for stupid movies with no plot, so why not make another sequel to a well loved series?
Also, I don't want the original CGB's to play second fiddle to new CGB's (which may happen, depending on how we interpret the same link, at the bottom). If they MUST introduce new characters, then let them connect with their cartoons by having them be the Junior GB's from Real GB, or the Extreme GB's title characters - but don't let them in until half way through the film. Personally, I'd rather that scenario happened in a GB4...they can start it like the first FGB episode starts, showing the new GB's the rules. But let GB3 be about the original CGB's!
