Poor Brat-a-rat never gets any respect. He is Prime Evil's pet and has quite a colorful personality. I wonder what Brat-a-rat does on his off days? Does he have hobbies?

I'd say he's the FGB equivalent of Original RGB Slimer--that is, a mischievous, almost-antagonistic troublemaker who delights in giving the Ghostbusters headaches and wreaking as much havoc as he can.

I think his biggest hobby is laughing at the expense of everything in the universe. ;D Brat always reminded me of a friend of mine... and it was a girl! ;D Devil, you're right... he deserves more respect on this board.

I think the scenes between him and Prime Evil are some of the best on the show, especially if Scared Stiff is involved too... the flatulent sound he makes when he flies is hilarious too!

Very True, it could be argued that without Brat-a-rat, Prime Evil would be a more typical boss/lord character. This is ultimately how He-man and other action cartoons of the times seemed different from FGB. Most of the time the villains in shows like He-man were plain dumb. With FGB Brat-a-rat was not dumb, tho he loved to trick the FGB's with it. Brat-a-rat was a good fallback in a weighty/serious scene in the cartoon as well. He loved what he did too, which makes him more likable even tho he was a villain. You knew he was having fun doing what he did.

I'd say the best Brat-a-Rat/Prime Evil double-act scene is in "Eddie Takes Charge," when Brat-a-Rat's on the phone sounding like a frightened girl and Prime Evil's doing his best to keep from laughing too loudly!

That's 100% true, not your typical Beastman/Merman/Trap Jaw type of character. Brat and some other villains in FGB had real motivations, personal agendas and genuine charisma.

Since I've been re-watching episodes lately, my youngest cat, Kira must be a fan of Brat-a-rat! She watches the tv with serious interest whenever Brat-a-rat is on screen! Either that or it's just a cat-thing regarding a rodent. But, she has no response to Belfry, the flying rodent.

I actually like Brat-a-rat. That evil laugh of his.
