Hey all. I was gifted a Playstation 2 for Christmas, and I was wondering if anyone knew of any games for the Playstation 1 and/or 2 that were similar to The Ghost Busters. Thanks!

Well, I came across a game for the PS2, aptly titled Ghosthunter, that seems pretty close to the "spirit" of The Ghost Busters. Here's the wiki page for it: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ghosthunter I bid on a copy on eBay and hopefully (fingers crossed) I'll win it.

Yeah, I had a Genesis and a PS1 when I was younger. Man, did I love the Genesis! Haven't had any video game system in about 10 years, though. The graphics nowadays are pretty awesome, but nothing will beat all those nostalgic games of yesteryear.

I totally agree with you - graphics are impressive these days, but as you say, the games of the past really spell out "a good time" in all caps

Unfortunately, I haven't seen the Ghoshunter game anywhere that was cheap enough for me to buy it. It looks like a fun game, and I hope that I can buy it sometime in the near future. I'll have to keep my eye out for it on eBay and such.

Yeah, I do know about the Ghostbusters video game, but don't really want to play it. I grew up watching those films and the cartoon, and am at a point in my life where I think I've seen them too much, and much of anything related to them doesn't interest me. That's why I was so glad when I found the live-action Filmation Ghost Busters show. It had a similar premise (busting ghosts), but didn't have Bill Murry or Gozer the Gozerian, and it has a completely different feel to it. Thanks for the heads-up, though. I just bid on a different copy of Ghosthunter on eBay, here's hoping I win this one.
