I really love the Filmation Ghostbusters! But I never realized that there's more than the cartoon series. Now, in 2011, I found out that there are books and comics and radio plays and action figures… I was extremly amazed! Now, inspired by this I finally added my FGB fanpage to my website: I'd like you to visit my site, even if it's in german. Take a look at it; I'm sure you'll have fun with the information. Among other things you can explore which merchandise items I know so far. I don' know if there is any other source with such nearly complete data. My FGB Fansite exitst since January 14th, 2011. And this is just the beginning! It will be upgraded incessantly. Some day you will find everything about the true ghostbusters there!

So you're a "fresh" Go-er and JUST realized there is a lot of expensive, vintage FGB stuff to buy on E-Bay, mega-ultra-super LOL. ;D Your site is great, and I'm sure you'll become one of the biggest FGB collectors out there. If you have doubts of any type, just check our sub-section focused on toys and merchandising. Said that, I'm just happy you're here, "meeting" another fervid Filmation Ghostbuster fan like you always makes my day --- and you're a girl! Apparitia is another female Go-er, she's German too. Disappeared from the forum long time ago anyway.

So you're a "fresh" Go-er and JUST realized there is a lot of expensive, vintage FGB stuff to buy on E-Bay, mega-ultra-super LOL. ;D I really realized only the TV series in the past. I know it since I was a child. Wait a minute - as the series started in 1986 I was nearly 9 years old. I can't remember if the series startet in 1986 in Germany too, but I'm sure I have watched it right from the beginning. I already loved it as I was a child. Later I havn't heard about it a long time. I was very sad about that. I always kept an eye out for the series. I've researched the internet intensely but even there I found nothing! It was frustrating! Suddenly I found a DVD about the series. I was so happy about that. Unfortunately it was not in stock at that time. Last year I got all of the episodes of the TV series by chance. I was so overjoyed! And this find finally was the beginning of a wonderful experience, as there abruptly appeared so much things like DVDs, radio plays, books, comics… almost everything! I could hardly believe it! And it takes no end! It's a phantastic, amazing, wonderful feeling like finally there is someone who understands me. ;D Naturally that comprises this forum! I'm so happy! Said that, I'm just happy you're here, "meeting" another fervid Filmation Ghostbuster fan like you always makes my day --- and you're a girl! Apparitia is another female Go-er, she's German too. Disappeared from the forum long time ago anyway. I read some postings of Apparitia. It's a pity that she's not here anymore. How funny, we could have conversed with each other in english… ;D Anyway, I'm glad to be here! It's a wonderful familiar feeling. By the way: "meeting" another fervid Filmation Ghostbuster fan like you always makes my day And stop with the "FGB fans" thing, HA. We're the Go-ers. ;D

TRUST ME, I remember the days when the Internet had no FGB sites and infos whatsoever very well... it was that terrible & horrid sense of loneliness and emptiness that pushed me to create this place and BANG! All Go-ers popped up from their Ghost Limbo. I'm glad you re-discovered your FGB passion and a "new", updated Internet to match that.

Isn't it funny how we make all the same experiences? I am learning english by watching the cartoon series in original version. That's phantastic! Comparing the original version with the german version ist very exciting. The german word for the main gadget of the ghostbusters has one more syllable than the english one: English: Dematerializer German: Dematerialisator Both I can enunciate without getting muddled. Maybe one day I am able to translate my website into english, too. That would be a dream.

In Italian: "Smaterializzatore".
By the way, you should find a very old thread where I posted all the Italian equivalents of the names, much fun!

Hey, that's a good idea! I shall start a thread with the german equivalents of the names, too! Is there such a thread already?

Hey, that's a good idea! I shall start a thread with the german equivalents of the names, too! Is there such a thread already? I'm a little late to the party here, but I like Tasha's idea. There are clearly differences in both translated names and in some cases in character presentation. One thing I noticed earlier that Tasha said was that Foxglove was a male, when in the NA english version of the episode, the voice sounds female.

In germany many names were taken originally from the english language. But some of them were translated. I will start a thread for this topic, so you can see what I mean!
