No, please no stereotype remake. Even if it would be a good implementation, it stays a stereotype remake. Imho it's fanciless and takes the magic away. Do you know »The Three Investigators«? In Germany they are called »The Three Question Marks« (sounds better in German: »Die drei Fragezeichen« or »Die drei ? ? ?«). Later there were »The ? ? ? Kids« and - watch out! - »The Three !!!«, a female investigator group based on the three ? ? ?. Congratulations! It may be good girls, but it looks so absurd to me, that I can't take it seriously. Please don't kill the magic of filmation ghostbusters by something like that. And you're right: There's Futura! There's no need to accentuate great female characters, because filmation always did that themselves! Think about Futura, Jessica, Teela from He-Man, J.B. from Brave Starr… All these are strong equal women. This is the right way to do it, because it's authentic. Speaking of great women in filmation ghostbusters: There is Futura, ghostbustress of the future, Jessica, smart reporter from Phantom News, And to look in my own Ghostbuster Storyline: There's Tasha, ghost scientist and some kind of opponent, because she don't like to destroy ghosts without asking. This composition makes it interesting, stunning, harmonious and realistic. But not a misplaced female ghostbuster team.

Wait! There's Futura. Sony Ghostbusters always ripping us off! LOL (just joking) Much like the Sony Pictures current direction, I would be open to filmation Ghostbusters doing a film/show/whatever featuring all female Ghostbusters. The sad thing is that briefly the Ghostbusters IDW series did do it. I say brief many in one issue. And a few more issues (this was vol 2 issue 1) the new team still had the three ladies and one guy (he was a tech, and none of the gals were techs so they had to include him).

I'm not against the idea, however. Only if it is handled in the "spin-off range" --- not being the mainstream continuity.

I think it's a GREAT IDEA. I would totally love to write this into a series, and have two female ghostbusters that are loosely based on Jake Kong and Eddie Spencer (juniors, i mean lol)
As far as a third wheel (Tracy character) goes, would any of you want another ape or a different type of character?

Gee, I'm not that much convinced of the idea of a female counterpart of our ghostbuster team. Based on the possibility of another ghostbuster team featuring two women completely independent from our boys, I'd say, I would like to see another character to join them as an gorilla, just because there's a team with a gorilla already. Something different would create a special, new and primarily for this team unique magic. My ideas for the third team member could be for example a special tyoe of bird of prey, or - yes, you're reading right - a giraffe! (I am thinking about this possibilities for some time because of another fact: Some day Tracy will have to retire and won't be able to join the team no more, and I think, he would look out for a successor. These are some of the thoughts I have of it in mind for my own storyline. ^^) Besides, while we're at it, I would prefer a team consisting of two female members, one male member and one male animal member (see above). A little bit business competition for our boys, but not so much the (imho boring) idea of a stereotype 1:1 women team based on our beloved Spenser, Tracy & Kong junior-team! It acts more realistic and comprehensible. That's what I would like about another ghostbuster team. Maybe a little like the RGB, with a giraffe instead of Peter or something like that. hihi Just kidding!

Two ladies, one male member, and another animal does actually sound like a cool team

It sounds to me like a perfect team! Especially in addition to our ghostbuster world; after all our boys have a tough job, that would be all the more heavier if they are the only company to bust ghosts!

I'm developing an idea like that in the FF section, for what it's worth.
