Hello fellow Go-ers, I´m the other half of our little cosplay team, the one who came up with the idea of cosplaying Jake and Eddie. I´ve been a big FGB fan for many years now, and I´ve been into cosplaying for years as well, so one day I thought it would be wonderful to be able to combine both interests. And so it happened. I asked Leela aka Tasha, with whom I am writing and talking about the show on a regular basis, if she would participate, and guess what? She gladly said "yes". We already had a lot of fun with this cosplay, and we will be around as Jake and Eddie at Fed Con, Europe´s biggest science fiction convention in Düsseldorf, Germany, at the end of May. We look forward to it! By the way, we´re looking for a Tracy or, even better, for a Prime Evil to join us! Just letting you know… maybe you´re interested . Well, I guess now it´s up to me to provide you with some more photos, so here they are : Hope you like our little project ! Ghostly greetings, Jakey "Little" Jesus Christ, it's HUGE. You're 100% welcomed and I want you as a "regular" of the board. Also, please, just promote your CosPlaying work everywhere in the net, especially on other (Sony/Columbia) Ghostbusters forums. World needs to know, definitely. I'm sure that your work will be the best promotion the F-Ghostbusters have had in recent years.

Frankly, I have no words - no human words - to describe how awesome your CosPlaying project looks to my eyes and - most of all - to my soul. Thank you for your appreciation and enthusiasm ! This cosplay project means a lot to us (as do the FGB), and to see that other people and fans love it as well is just great. Also, please, just promote your CosPlaying work everywhere in the net, especially on other (Sony/Columbia) Ghostbusters forums. World needs to know, definitely. We´ll do our best to let other fans – be it FGB or RGB fans or GB fans in general – know what we have accomplished. The Filmation´s Ghostbusters definitely need a lot more attention and presence on the internet! I love the interaction between different fandoms. Although there are RGB fans who are biased against the FGB or simply don´t like them, most of them are open-minded. And there are RGB fans who like the FGB, too. So why not work together? In Frankfurt on July 25th we´ll meet quite a lot of Columbia/Sony Ghostbusters fans. We look forward to this meeting which I think will be a great experience. I´ll be around here from time to time and I´m sure that there´s some more FGB cosplay stuff to come .

Hey Tasha, I don't know if you've read my replies or they just slipped away from your radar but I'm promoting the link everywhere I can too! IMDB, for instance. Music to my ears. Just bring more FGB and RGB fans to this forum, I'm sure the Go-er fandom can become larger than life and these forum will experience countless golden days in the future to come. I will wait for more pics and more CosPlaying Celebration as well. This is another victory...

Have you ever seen Filmation's Ghostbusters on the big screen? We did - even though it was only the intro! It was an amazing feeling, you can bet. And there were more cheers for it from the audience than we ever expected! ♥ (Thanks to »Sanifox« who was responsible for it! You did a very, very, very great job! *thumbs up!*) Here are some pictures from our little FGB exhibition booth at the Ghostbusters Meeting: There were two more booths like this for the real ghostbusters stuff. It was a small but excellent exhibition at the meeting which started at 10.00 am. At 8.00 pm it was cinema time! Then we watched the first ghostbuster movie on the big screen, and that was the time, we had the privilege to see all ghostbuster intros in one unique cinema trailer before the film started - including our beloved Filmation boys. ♥ It was a great big overwhelming time for us! After the movie we went in the city to let the day end as great as it began. And so it was: Even as we stand at Burger King to order our menues someone from the street made his way through the real ghostbusters to talk to us (»Filmation girls«, as we are called from our other ghostbuster friends ^^). It was amazing, and it's just the beginning! By the way: Thanks for promoting us on imdb, Prime! Looks great!

GHOSTBUSTERS FAN MEETING IN FRANKFURT, GERMANY JULY 25th, 2015 It was a lot of fun! At first, we were a bit unsure about how the reception would be, but we were truly welcomed there and we really felt as part of the Ghostbusters fandom. We met wonderful people – most of them knew the FGB from their childhood or youth – and we made some new friends. Our FGB table was a real eye-catcher. All in all we received a lot of positive feedback. As someone said: "We´re considered part of the same fandom" ... which is Ghostbusters. Seeing the FGB on the cinema screen was kind of a magic moment for us even if it was only the cartoon show intro. And hearing our Ghostbusters colleagues cheer when the Filmation logo appeared on the screen came very unexpected and was unbelievable. Never had we expected so much support for the FGB, especially from RGB / GB movie fans! It felt really good. I would love to see an entire FGB episode on the big screen. That would be fantastic. Here are some more pics from the event The whole gang (at least, quite a lot of them):Isn´t this a great example for teamwork? We really felt as a welcomed part of the Ghostbusters fandom! Jake and Eddie in action:
Don´t be afraid of the Marshmallow Man!
Jake wearing a proton pack. Man, that thing was heavy! I prefer our ghostpacks, they´re much more comfortable.
Here are links to two very short videos which were shot in front of the location. First, the Ghostbusters were chasing "Mrs. Stay Puft", a female version of the Marshmallow Man who was at the meeting, and then we were chased by Gozer, who was also there. If you watch carefully, you can see Jake and Eddie running with the others.
Mrs. Stay Puft video

It was indeed a big success for our fandom

Wow this story becomes bigger and bigger as time progresses... it's fantastic and it makes me truly proud. I just feel rejuvenated now that I know Sony/Columbia fans have opened their once-closed minds about the Filmation Ghostbusters and their undeniable beauty/power. Jakey, you just look like the PERFECT female counterpart of our beloved Jake Kong, you're just born to do that! I'm just ultra-happy and cannot still believe to my eyes (I'm reading LOL). I will check the vids ASAP. EDIT: How did the cartoon intro look on the big screen in terms of picture quality and resolution?

Wow this story becomes bigger and bigger as time progresses... That's the plan! And you can bet, we are proud, - proud to be part of it; proud to have created something special to represent our beloved fandom, proud for the wonderful feedback and reactions we got so far and proud for the Filmation spirit we spread into the world! It's one simple formula: If you want your fandom to be alive, then there's only one thing: To live your fandom! And primarily: Never do it for anyone else! Always do it only for yourself! That's the first key to success! I just feel rejuvenated now that I know Sony/Columbia fans have opened their once-closed minds about the Filmation Ghostbusters and their undeniable beauty/power. I'd say, even someone who slags something in the incognito world of the internet would be more careful about it if he stands face to face with somebody in a cosplay suit! It's a matter of respect. Maybe that's a good basis to start a change of mind. But these people are a minority. Most of the people are open minded, very fascinated and welcoming. There simply has to be someone who reminds them of the Filmation boys and/or approach them. We made a whole lot of great and wonderful experiences with the Real Ghostbuster fans out there. It is a great community of Columbia and Filmation (Jakey and me, so far ^^) Ghostbusters Fans out there. In fact it is a great community of Ghostbusters Fans! And this is just the beginning of big times for Jake, Eddy & Tracy, I feel it! Ready for some more pictures of the event? Here they come: It works both ways: Here's one of our fellow Real Ghostbuster colleagues with a dematerializer! Eddy & Miss Marshmallow: Here's another video from the meeting, and - yeah! - Eddy made it! ^^ First scene of the report and Eddy is on screen - is there a better ghostbuster promotion than that? ^^ Jakey, you just look like the PERFECT female counterpart of our beloved Jake Kong, you're just born to do that! What do you mean, » female« counterpart? She's the best Jake anyway! How did the cartoon intro look on the big screen in terms of picture quality and resolution? Let's put it this way: I didn't get the time to pay attention to the quality because I was so impressed to see the boys on the big screen, that it was rather secondary. At least I didn't notice anything negative. Apart from that: It looks great, great, great if you are a big, big fan! ♥

Wow this story becomes bigger and bigger as time progresses... it's fantastic and it makes me truly proud. That´s great! We´re really proud of what we´ve achieved and that our cosplay is a success . I just feel rejuvenated now that I know Sony/Columbia fans have opened their once-closed minds about the Filmation Ghostbusters and their undeniable beauty/power. At least the Sony/Columbia fans that we´ve met so far. At Fed Con and at the meeting in Frankfurt we´ve learned that there are quite a lot of people who know the FGB or like them too, or have at least heard of them. For many of them it´s a childhood or teen memory. The folks out there just need to be reminded that there´s another Ghostbusters team besides the well-known Columbia/Sony team that doesn´t need to step back behind the famous colleagues! We´ll try our best to bring in Jake, Eddie (and Tracy, too) whenever and wherever possible . Jakey, you just look like the PERFECT female counterpart of our beloved Jake Kong, you're just born to do that! Now you´ve managed to confuse me a little bit . I´m not sure if I get this right because I´m not a female version of Jake (if I was, my cosplay certainly wouldn´t look the way it does). Let´s say I´m a female cosplayer who cosplays Jake, our Jake from the TV show . I will check the vids ASAP. Have you already watched them? And have you seen Jake and Eddie running with the crowd ? How did the cartoon intro look on the big screen in terms of picture quality and resolution? To be honest, I´m not sure because when the intro began, our ghostbusters friends who sat beside us started to cheer, congratulated us and did a high five with us, so actually I was kind of distracted and didn´t watch the screen all the time. But from what I saw, it looked good! I really would love to see an entire FGB episode on the big screen .

My answers To live the fandom. I absolutely agree with you on that. I'm glad we managed to find each other on this marvellous forum. We all created something really special and magic, that went far beyond my disenchanted expectations when I started this place from nothing. So your words just resonate within me in a huge way. Hey girls! Yes, Jakey looks like Jake, 100% spot on. Don't get me wrong, I didn't literally mean she looks like a "female version" of Jake, as Supergirl to Superman. BIG LOL. She's Jake. The real deal. I have no doubts watching an episode of FGB on the big screen would be a blast. In the future to come? Who knows what the fandom destiny has in store for us. It's unpredictable. By the way, loved the pics and the vids, loved the way you've been welcomed by the Columbia fans, loved the way you're promoting sincere and spiritual love for the FGB series.

That´s what every real fan should do ! We all created something really special and magic, that went far beyond my disenchanted expectations when I started this place from nothing. Sometimes the best surprises come very unexpected and from out of nowhere! I´m so glad that I had the idea for a Filmation´s Ghostbusters cosplay. It´s such great fun and we´re not finished yet! There´s much more to come. Yes, Jakey looks like Jake, 100% spot on. Don't get me wrong, I didn't literally mean she looks like a "female version" of Jake, as Supergirl to Superman. BIG LOL. She's Jake. The real deal. Now I see what you mean. Oki doki, no more confusion about this . There are wonderful news: Next year in July there will be another Ghostbusters fan meeting, again in Frankfurt, Germany, at the same location. And you know what? In 2016 we´ll have a double anniversary: Not only are the Real Ghostbusters turning 30 then, but our beloved Filmation´s Ghostbusters as well ! Both shows first aired at the beginning of September, 1986. You can be sure that Eddie and I will take good care of the FGB and present them as best as possible at the meeting, and we´ll surely find a way to celebrate the FGB´s 30th anniversary properly! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ And now for something completely different! Three special fun pics : Slimer got lost and is caught by Jake and Eddie:
And again... And here´s something especially for you, Prime Good : Attention, boys, look up, otherwise you´ll get in big, big trouble!
What´s going to happen next with the G-g-g-g-Ghostbunglers ?
