For as long as I can remember, the Skelevator has always gotten mixed reviews. Whether it's considered genius, time consuming, or the lazy way of undressing and dressing up alike lol I for one am Pro Skelevator, and would take the lazy route and let myself be undressed and dressed up for my day (provided those hands didn't get naughty with me Did anyone else ever wonder if Jake and Eddie hopped back into the Skelevator after returning from a job, and letting themselves be stripped and re-dressed in their civilian attire (or pajamas if it was bedtime lol) Sorry if I'm asking stupid questions, I just don't get to converse with FGB fans in the real world

Woohoo, this question was also discussed by my friend Jakey and me (in real life) not long time ago! Okay, here's what I think: I'm sure that the skelevator way to change clothes is not faster or slower than the usual way. It seems so because the changing scene feels to be so long, but it isn't, because we see the whole changing scene for both boys, what means: half the time for both of them! Including sitting straight in the car. If I would have to put out my street clothes and put on all what I need to do ghostbusting, I'm sure I would need the same time, if not more! So, yes, for this reason I would say *thumbs up* for the skelevator! But there are some other facts, that make the whole thing more complicated. - First of all: This conveyor belt is scary! I am afraid of heights, so I would not let a skeleton hand throw me in an energetic net, I would not survive this conveyor belt, and I would boycott the trapeze, the slide and the mattress! Not to mention that you have to have artistic skills to do this, which I don't have! - The second - and even more important - thing ist: Does anyone eventually think about GB? About his shock absorbers, when the boys are hopping in? Has anyone ever paid attention to GBs pained look, when the three »featherweights« are jumping on their seats? Sorry, but if GB is in a bad mood, he has my completely sympathy! And that's why I would say: Skelevator - yes! But only for those who are not scared to death in it (like Eddy -> same point as I made for GB!), and without hurting the car that should be loyal afterwards! You see, yes or no is not that easy to say for me. Anyway, concerning the way to change clothes back to street clothes or pyjamas I have a clear idea of how this would happen in Ghost Command: Jake -> skelevator! Eddy -> not! Sorry if I'm asking stupid questions, I just don't get to converse with FGB fans in the real world GIVE ME MORE! I'm so glad and thankful about every other passionate fan of my beloved self-chosen forever home with which I can talk endlessly about this wonderful magical world. You're so very welcome with every »stupid« question! By the way, where do you come from? I come from Germany, and not far away from me lives my FGB cosplay-partner (!) Jakey, the only one I know in whole Germany who shares my passion about the boys the same way. (>^^)> You're great, Jakey! <(^^<)

Thank you, Tasha, for responding I agree with you about the changing from uniforms into street clothes and pajamas. Jake seems to enjoy the skelevator, whereas his pal Eddie does not Did you ever wonder if the guys are given new socks to wear with their boots once they go over through the change-over tunnel. It's so weird that the net absorbs everything except their shoes and socks. But then right after, they are barefoot lol. I just figured some smaller skeleton hands popped up and snatched their footwear off and sprayed them with Odor Eaters or something Someone once brought this up on youtube, on why Jake and Eddie would go through several hundred articles of clothing, just to let them be zapped off. I never thought that was the case, that the machine merely teleported their clothes back into their closets lol. I hate heights too. If I had my own, I would just let myself be carried from point A to point B Tasha, unfortunately I live in the USA and am too far away But I would be happy to ask you more questions in the future as well as be a member of your fan club

Aww, even if a whole ocean lies between us, we have this place to stay in contact! It's proven that the clothing procedure includes changing the socks (at least in terms of Eddy): Speaking of Eddy: Yes, he seems to be more afraid of the skelevator / cloth changing procedure than Jake. But furthermore he didn't find the key yet how to do it richt! It starts by his ashamed behavior in the energetic net. I'm sure that's why his next way isn't that much comfortable like Jakes. Than, he sit's on the conveyor belt in the wrong direction! The machine does the same things with him like it does with Jake, but it can't work, because he doesn't sit in the right position! I'm sure it would get much more comfortable for Eddy if he would read the ghostbuster's guide. ^^ I already have written a story about it, and Eddy was very thankful for it because it was the first time he could enjoy that whole cloth changing thing. (Unfortunately the story is written in German…)

Oh wow, I forgot that episode where the poor guy lost his boots lol Now we know even Eddys shoe size! Say, if you still have access to that story, I can have it translated to English with my computer Are you sure your computer will do what you want it to do? I once have translated a text from German to English with the computer, and it was awful!

Hi zacht, welcome to the board ! It´s great to see at least someone who not only joins the forum but actually participates! You asked about the Skelevator and the transformation sequence. Well, I love it. Okay, I´m Jake, so I´m supposed to love it I guess . The entire transformation scene is a great example of weird imagination, funny moments and strange ideas. Sometimes when I see it I can´t help thinking that the producers or the people who came up with that idea must have smoked some really good stuff. When you watch the transfomation scene over and over again, you discover more and more details that you haven´t noticed before. For example, I love the little ghost logos on the boys´ boxershorts! Well, Jake and Eddie could be changing into uniform in a normal way, but not only would this be a little boring to watch, it would in fact take too much time. Especially if it was an emergency and the boys were in a hurry and had to change into uniform on their own. Imagine Jake and Eddie being so excited that they trip over their own feet while desperately fumbling with their uniforms and equipment! No, I think using the Skelevator is much more comfortable. It would be fun to try out this thing, but I´m not sure if I would really enjoy it. Maybe parts of it. The robotic hand, the conveyor belt and the energetic net would be fun I guess, and it would also be fun to receive the ghostpack and the devices / equipment. But then… I would be terrified of hanging on the trapeze in mid air, let alone sliding down the slide on my belly and landing on that mattress! Jake seems to enjoy the transformation procedure a lot while Eddie doesn´t. Maybe that´s his boyish exuberance ? Like Tasha, I feel sorry for GB. How would you feel if someone jumped into your back? Maybe there could be a softer way of hopping into the car? The entire Skelevator thing is a hilarious idea which I absolutely love !

And Zero built that, essentially. I think the Spectral Space not only puts the guys in the (psychological) "right mood" to be Ghostbusters, not only provides them with "sci-fi" clothes and items, but I also think it somehow "improves" their physiological functions and make them more "healthy" for the job. Not stronger, just healthier. Not a stupid question, I love it a lot! Welcome... Woohoo, this question was also discussed by my friend Jakey and me (in real life) not long time ago! So, yes, for this reason I would say *thumbs up* for the skelevator! I'm 100% positive they turn into Ghostbusters in a very few minutes (2, 3 or 4), for a simple reason: the Spectral Space is an alternate pocket dimension, where the time progressing may be radically different from our dimension's. Of course, how do you explain this to a bunch of children watching the series?

And Zero built that, essentially. That's an interesting idea. Is it official, or is it the way you think it is? I'd like to see references because it really would make sense. My idea so far was that Tracy built the whole »transformation room«. He's a technical genius, a wonderful scientist and the most creative gorilla I know. I think the Spectral Space not only puts the guys in the (psychological) "right mood" to be Ghostbusters, […] but I also think it somehow "improves" their physiological functions and make them more "healthy" for the job. Not stronger, just healthier. I don't think so. For example the many times Eddy hides trembling behind Tracys back: I don't think, this is the »right mood« to be a Ghostbuster. And then the scenes where the boys have to go upstairs some floors in a skyscraper; Eddy is really out of shape sometimes and even Jake has his moments where he's out of breath. So sorry, in this point I can't agree.

My idea so far was that Tracy built the whole »transformation room«. He's a technical genius, a wonderful scientist and the most creative gorilla I know. It was my theory, but many embraced it, even Bob Burns and Larry Storch themselves. Fact is, they discovered the Spectral Space and the Skelevator for accident, and Tracy didn't know anything about it. It was a mystery. So it was one of the many mysteries planted by Zero long time before that they just unravelled at the right moment, because they were set to save their fathers from Prime Evil. You're 100% right. I would say it was a mere matter of time. The Spectral Space's flux of time is much slower, but outside our normal flux of time is faster.

That is exactly (among many other things) what I love so much on that show: That there is NO »Superman effect«, in no kind of way! ♥
About the time flux: That sounds interesting. It is a possibility. Anyway I'd say the transformation sequenz is faster than changing clothes oneself, and safer. … Okay, sorry for that, Eddy…
