This is actually a drawing I did a couple years ago as a Danny Phantom fanart.
For those who don't know that show, it's about a kid who gets zapped when his ghost hunter parents build and activate a portal to "The Ghost Zone". He gains Ghost powers as a result.
In any case, Danny's father, Jack, is a gigantic, childlike, extremely overenthusiastic, bumbling, yet somehow genius inventor of ghost hunting equipment. He would have been the same age or just slightly younger than Jake and Eddie back in the mid 80s.
Whence came the idea for the sketch.
It's done in Danny Phantom style, though alas, the only DP character is a bit off model. I think I like the way Eddie came out best.

Very nice, innocent-looking sketch... HUGE thanks.
Well, I didn't know about 'Danny Phantom' at all... it looks and sounds as a refreshing take on the Ghostbusting concept... a family of Ghostbusters (brilliant!), a kid bearing ghost-like powers... WOW!
Thanks for sharing the infos and this great sketch, Bunny. You're welcomed.
