By the way... what's so special in the GB uniforms? Such a complex process to wear them... but was it all worth it? ;D

there's some days I've woken up and just wanted to step into the Skelevator. I forget all the uses of the neck gear and the belt. I know it could call Fuddy, as well as control the jetpack and other stuff in the backpack. Maybe the clothing itself had some kind of protective qualities or just an excuse to wear something crazy? I imagine Eddie's aviator goggles originated in the old show when Spenser or Tracy would wear them in a few episodes.

We don't know, maybe the uniforms somehow augment their strength, reflexes, speed and agility --- after all the clothes must be made by some unspecified material once imbued in some unspecified chemicals (coming from future? ).
Said that, you're right, the neck gear is a "spiritual" transmitter/receiver of some sort (to call Merlin's sidekick, right?)
What's about the ghostpack in its jet form? I remember it was provided with a pair of small wings... or not?
The goggles. Yes, they provide a nice link to the original series. They are useless, anyway ;D

I think it was all worth it.
You are correct Jake Kong Third. I'm also a fan of Indy and noticed that their uniforms resemble Indiana Jones. I think this made them look more adventurous, though. Besides, Tracy looks better wearing a fedora rather than a beanie, agree?

Their uniforms did remind me of Indiana Jones.
I never really noticed that before until now.

Their uniforms did remind me of Indiana Jones. It's not the overall design, but the choice of colours and some details here and there... Jake's one is the most similar, I think.

I don't know if the uniforms themselves had special qualities, but I do agree with Zack - I would love to step into the Skelevator and go through the transformation process.
Since this is the uniform discussion thread - what do y'all think of the "Real Ghostbusters" episode where they put "Jake's Uniform" (close to it without breaking copyright i think) on a fraud spiritualist, then the 4 guys have to come in and save the day. If you want to see it, the episode is "The Spirt of Aunt Lois". Personal Opinion: It was kind of a cheap shot, but given the tension between the two companies, I'm not surprised. I thought it was a more creative way to show disdain though - so they do get a point for that.

Cheap shot or not, I wanna see it like a beautifully-crafted "reference" to OUR heroes...

Sorry I haven't been around too much guys I'm trying to check in and start posting more especially since I wanted to rewatch the episodes slowly and post detailed about each one. I guess a lot of people wore them. Does it look like a safari jacket to you guys? Seems like it would serve a good purpose for hunting ghosts and having lots of pockets. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Safari_jacket

Good call on the safari jacket. I wouldn't have known what else to call it. I guess that would make putting together a replica uniform a little easier. haha Edit: If you care to watch the episode, here is the link to the YouTube page: (Part 1 anyway) youtube.com/watch?v=n9HNx-S5aW4And Zack, help me out, did the same "fraud" return in a later episode? I think it was to help out Peck with Slimer, but I'm not sure.

I think that was his only appearance. Watching Big Trouble with Little Slimer, Peck got help from an older bigger guy in a trench coat and hat I think, Callahan or something.

Good call Zack - that was Callahan.
The spiritualist was named Dr. Basingame. I did some checking - he did appear in another episode, but it was with Peter's dad, not Peck. - "Cold Cash and Hot Water"
"Synopsis: Peter's dad calls from Alaska and tells the guys he's found Hob Anagarak, "the first demon", frozen in a block of ice by the Inuits. It all breaks loose when Charlie brings the block of ice to New York and frees the demon with the "help" of Dr. Basingame, the scoundrel who once caused trouble for Ray's Aunt Lois!

haha. No one blames you. Basingame's a very minor character. (He was just brought up here because of the FGB crossover) However, how you pulled "Callahan" off of your head I'll never know.
