Wondering: What would have been a PERFECT "season finale"? I mean, a possible ending to Jake, Eddie and Tracy's odyssey that never made it... outside the pre-existent 65 episodes. What's in your mind?

....Well how about Jessica and Jake Kong getting married? Seriously they had something going on there. And Prime Evil ends up stuck in the cave with Brat-a-rat again at the end.

Eddie and Futura getting together would have been nice.
As for season finale, how about Prime Evil getting sent to limbo and the other ghosts start fighting over who's going to take over with him gone.

Never close the loops... Prime Evil and his henchmen could be sent and locked in another dimension, along with the whole haunt quarters, and their place would be took from the son of Prime Evil, or some golem or droid of him, more meaner and mad than the maker... also, other ghosts with other stories and powers as henchmen... Japaneses taught us this, so why do not continue?
(to be honest, I wanted that Prime Evil and his crew would finally win and getting Earth, not that the poor fella is stuck in north pole with his broken organ-throne :\)

Okay, I got one.
Big props to Blue Shade. Many of my ideas are inspired by his suggestions.
In my perfect world, the season finale would be at least a two-parter.
But instead of Prime Evil, lets bring back Big Evil one final time.
In the first part, Big Evil attacks Haunt Quarters, bringing a cadre of new and powerful ghosts. They conquer Haunt Quarters and banish Prime Evil and maybe his gang as well then begin their attack on the Earth.
There's the general mayhem as reported by Jessica and before you can say, "Let's Go, Ghostbusters" our guys are on the scene.
...And promptly get their butts kicked and narrowly escaping with Jessica in Ghostbuggy who takes them back to the future.
Big Evil uses this as an opportunity to take over the world (OF COURSE!).
In the future, the Ghostbusters are surprised to find the world has been over run by Big Evil's ghosts, monsters, and other various evil beings. They find Futura as the leader of an underground resistance against Big Evil that includes humans, aliens and even Fangster and Scared Stiff, the only two that escaped Big Evil! (These can be interchangeable with any number of the old villains; I just put them in there because they're my favorites, plus Haunter.)
The first part ends with Big Evil leading the final push against the future's final resistance and critically injuring Futura, causing the Ghostbusters to leave with her and Jessica.
They travel back to the past where they seek help from Fuddy or Madame Why or someone who tells them of Futura's state; she's in a coma, mystic unbreakable sleep, something just short of out-and-out death.
To Be Continued...
(Moral of the episode: Don't run away from your problems, they only get worse.)
In episode two, the character they sought help from tells the Ghostbusters of a way to defeat Big Evil once and for all and save Futura, but it requires them to go on a dangerous journey (Wooooo...Spooky!). So they agree and leave Jessica to watch over Futura with...whomever.
So the Ghostbusters take GB to a defined time and place for their quest. I haven't the foggiest of where, when, or what the quest will actually be but the end result will be a greater understanding of what ghost really are (Spirits of the dead, monsters from another dimension, evil energies of the universe given form), what it means to be a ghostbuster/hero and how it relates to the true nature of ghosts, and how their constant time travel is effecting the universe as a whole (Pre-ordained like Excalibur or no real effect at all with their weekend trips to the future. There has to be some fictional theory of time travel we can fit to this series).
Basically I'm trying to make sense of some of the more out-there concepts of the series that are never addressed.
Finally, a way to permanently defeat ghosts is revealed to them allowing Tracy to put it in a new weapon. The question is should they allow themselves to use it, even on someone as bad a Big Evil?
(I have no idea what it really does. It could turn ghosts to stone, banish them forever to limbo, or actually destroy them instead of sending them away for a while. I'm just spit balling here.)
Unfortunately, Big Evil finds Jessica, Futura, and the other character and captures them, forcing the Ghostbusters into a final confrontation at Haunt Quarters.
Long story short (Too late!), they fight through Big Evil's minions with their old weapons (They might make a stop to go get the last of the resistance from the future to help and equip them with some of their old weapons as well. Imagine, Fangster with a Ghost Snare or Scared Stiff with a dematerializer attached to his arm) and finally make it to Big Evil himself.
Before Big Evil can destroy their friends they use the new weapon and defeat him once and for all. Then they wake/revive Futura and return to Earth to set things right.
This is when Prime Evil returns from where ever Big Evil banished him to and, after finding out about the Ghostbusters new knowledge and what happened to Big Evil, decides to step up his game with Big Evil's left over minions and his old gang.
No idea what the moral is for this one, kiddies. You'll have to make your own PSA. I could go with something like weighing the consequences of a decision like with the ultimate weapon thingee, but that seems a bit too deep for a children's cartoon.
You could add in some other drama for a better story, like Futura actually dying (But it's a cartoon, she can come back) or Jessica confessing jealousy while watching over Futura's prone body, Fangster and Scared Stiff becoming more powerful/brave/noble during their perceived final battle, etc., but I'm trying to keep it as close to the spirit of the original cartoon as possible.
You really want to make it good, add in some character development. Jake suffers from a crisis of faith as the leader, Eddie over comes his fears to save Futura, the ghost busting weapon Tracy creates is so dangerous he won't let the others use it and almost sacrifices himself. Stuff like that. Man, can you believe I just came up with all this on the fly? I had honestly never given it much thought before reading your ideas on this post and just running with them. Bravo, gang! You really got me going on this one!

Leave Futura alive, Chadbuggy, or else I and the other Eddie/Futura shippers will come after you and haunt you for the rest of your days.

Fine. She doesn't "die". We'll go back to the "mystic unbreakable sleep" idea. They find out it's a Snow White Spell and Eddie has to kiss her to wake her up. There, happy? I swear, you shippers drive me crazy (No matter what show it's for). And you can haunt me all you want! Remember, I have this! (Holds up smoking, batterd Dematerializer...which promptly explodes.) Rrrrrr! Curse you, Ghost-rrrr*ssskk!*ehh-Bunglers Forum! What? It seemed apropos. Anywho, I really think we need to resolve the vague love-triangle between Jake, Jessica, and Futura before Eddie even has a shot. Although it would be pretty interesting for Futura to wake up and immediately think it was Jake that kissed her. This could be an on-going thing for future plot-lines, Eddie trying to win over Futura with cheesy, over-the-top romantic antics, helped by Tracy of course. However, Futura remains in denile, wanting to like Eddie "Only as a friend", but she can't help but see something in the persistant, hapless goof. This keeps on going for a few episodes until Eddie has a "crowning moment of awesomness" against Prime Evil's new forces and Futrura finally sees Eddie as a hero. Whattdaya think? ... ... ...Dang, I did it again, didn't I? Oh well. That being said, does anyone mind if I bump off Corky?

Nah, Corky's fair game. Really, the only time kids are ever useful in FGB is in episodes when the moral drives the plot.
BTW, I only consider myself a shipper in jest.

BTW, I only consider myself a shipper in jest. So was my comment about shippers. Okay, nice to know Corky can die for dramatic effect though (Or just because). Jessica might be sad, but she'll get over it.

Chad, Can you FURTHER "novelizate" (?) the posts you wrote and collect them into one fan fiction-type thread at 'The Lost Pages of The Zeronomicon' sub-section? That would be nice.

Sorry it took so long to respond.
I wish I had more confidence when I say this but, sure, I'll write as much of this as I can!
I have no time frame, but I'll do my best!

or let new villians work for prime evil who were only used in season 1s episode 1 time only like cyman or slort the troll or terror revived to haunt mr smythe for toxic reasons to work for prime evil or have hunter free slort for the original ghostbusters the fathers home & say i will take over the UK with your help more like like if haunter wanted to go on his own bc of prime evils insults to him & to take over haunt quarters by making prime & his ghosts trolls & haunter in charge answering to prime evil himself & say get used to being called old boy & slort making scared stiff a scary robot troll against evil himself great concept if that happened

I'd put in something epic. Something new. Prime Evil summoning the most ancient of ghosts. The First living thing to die. Powerful, supreme, and equally irritated with the Haunter ... I'll have to think about this one.
