No, it's not in the works unfortunately. Here is a fan made poster someone on another GB forum started working on. What do you think? ;D

I think other than confusing a hell of a lot of people if it came out, this could be good if done right. The poster is proof of that. With all the bizarre fantasy, time-travel elements of the series, it might be crazy enough to work. It would never happen but it'd be cool to imagine.

The handle-bars and mega-phone make a good looking make-shift Ghost Gummer if you ask me.

That is a cleverly edited poster. I totally agree that a live-action Filmation's Ghostbusters movie would be nice to see, or at least a fandom made one. No offense to Columbia GB fans, but Columbia Ghostbusters movie fandom is overloaded on the internet. It's time for a change. Change is good. Not a bad idea Prime Good.

Hahhaahh it's time to start a new religion based on the FILMATION's Ghostbusters, I totally agree with you. After all, both the franchises are very different each other... in terms of "execution" and "exposition" of the basic concept, at least... because honestly, in my view, the COLUMBIA franchise stole the core idea from the FILMATION Live Action series!

I'm glad that you totally agree with me, and I totally agree with you Prime Good regarding what you posted about Columbia and Filmation.
When you think about it, there are a few similarities in the Columbia GB movie stolen from the Filmation live-action GB TV series. Not only the live-action Filmation GB team used a scientific device to get rid of the paranormal pest, but just think about their car for a moment. It was a WHITE old car, with a GB EMBLEM ON THE DOORS! Not to mention the Columbia GB team picked an OLD CAR for running around in. Dan Aykroyd explained in an interview that there will be no third live-action GB movie with him, Harold Ramis, Bill Murray, and Ernie Hudson starring in it, and the video game coming out next year will be as close to a third GB movie as we will get. So, we really need a change and a live-action GB movie based upon the ORIGINAL Ghostbusters would be even better. I also think it would be cool if Bob Burns, Larry Storch, and Lou Scheimer could have brief appearances in it, agree?

While I agree that a live-action movie could be fantastic, I think it would be a hard sell simply based on what you both just pointed out - The public is saturated with Columbia's Ghostbusters. I think that "John Q. Public" wouldn't be able to watch a film called "Ghostbusters" without comparing it to Columbia's. Because of that - a fan film would probably be the closest we could get.

One of the stranger ideas I had recently was to "tweak" the whole Sedgewick Hotel sequence to feature the Filmation characters. This will hopefully give people a taste of what an FGB feature film might be like. Guess that's my project for the weekend, then. Oh, and: I like the idea of Tracy being similar to Beast from X-Men, whoever suggested it. I suppose it could be explained within the FGB Universe.
