Hey all! Matt from www.GBCollector.com here. I haven't been on in awhile, but I have a Filmation update for you! We're doing a phone interview with the great Lou Scheimer in the coming weeks, so I wanted to let you all at the greatest Filmation Ghostbusters message board submit your questions! We'll use as many as we can. Post 'em here!

Awesome!
Can you tell Mr. Scheimer that a user named "Nix" (that's me, by the way) on the True Ghostbusters Fan Forum is working on a prop replica of the Live-Action (MK-1) Dematerializer?
Now, I may need a little help from Mr. Scheimer on this one. If he can remember the name of the sound effect used on the show, would he kindly pass it along to me? I have a few MP3 files if you need them.

*****SOME QUESTIONS******
1- Do you like the terms "Go-ers" for the Ghostbusters fans? Tiziano Caliendo (the webmaster) conied the term. Anyway, do you like the board? It started as a small place but got big. We're getting stronger year by year, like a true community.
2- We developed a theory about Zero, the mysterious guy from the live action series. He came from the far future, and was the one to create the "ghostly" paraphernalia we can see in the cartoon. Do you like the theory?
3- Likely, Tracy (being a mutant gorilla with a genius mind) could have been brought from the future by Zero; Bob Burns likes this origin story so much!
4- Is it possible to think the old 1975 Ghost Busters went "rejuvenated" by Zero during the timespan inbetween live action series and the 1986 cartoon? In the cartoon, they look in their mid-forties.
5- Was the cartoon successful in your view? It was a hit in Italy, France, Brazil and other countries. What do you think about it?
6- Can you give us your last words about the Columbia/Sony Ghostbusters affair?
7- What is your fave Ghostbuster out of both teams?

Oh, no, not this again. Can't we just restrict that stuff to "fan theories?" I appreciate your enthusiasm, Prime, but if I were you I wouldn't trouble him with flights of fancy.

Lets ask the following instead.... -You had played the part as Zero in the live action series. My question is what was zero based on, and what importance does he have to the show and how did he know all those facts about the cases? -What was Tracy's part in the whole series really? Why was he kept in the animated series? -A interesting question that has been raised over the years, is the ages of the Kong and Spencer families and why the original ghostbusters look young in the animated series? ok now I have my own questions I hope will get asked.... -The Ghostbusters car is said to be a 1929 Whippet, so where did it go after the show ended? How did filmation get the car and why was that car the one used in the series? -There was a note written in the second animated series box set that the episode "Whither Why" was a possible launch of a show called "Batz". Is this true? If so, how far did it get into production, and what was that show going to be like, and would it have had the ghostbusters in it in cameo form? -How did filmation get Forrest Tucker, and what are your feelings on him and his performance as Jake Kong?

We need a confirmation about this, and if the creator approves... this becomes official FANON. So let's go!

Do you think my rewording of your questions would cover your questions? I think it is quite a important interview as well and fanon straight forward should be avoided. Think about it, he's in his 80's and he was finished with the whole biz back in the late 1980's. We're be lucky if he'll address basic canon things. Ask questions you'd think he'd enjoy answering. I'm sure he has many fond memories of his days doing the shows.

If you haven't interviewed him yet, Mr. GB-Collector, I'd appreciate it if you would tell Lou one thing for me:
His work endures. We're proof of it. ;D

Maybe he can tell us why the 5 on the shirt of 1975 Kong Sr became an 8 for 1986 Kong Sr If you haven't interviewed him yet, Mr. GB-Collector, I'd appreciate it if you would tell Lou one thing for me: His work endures. We're proof of it. ;D Yes! The contribution he and his family, friends, and co-workers made to our childhoods will never be forgotten; our generation will pass it on, and the internet will help it continue to be known and loved! The positive messages (in the stories and at the end) were helpful (and still are), and when I see them today it really takes me back, and I love it so much. It means a LOT! It's magic. Thank you so much Mr. Scheimer!

PS: I have another question: where did the original MK-I Dematerializer go, and does he know who has it? Bob Burns said that he tried to get it...he was sad that he didn't.

Fanon by default is a fans take on canon. Well, that's not enterely true. Much FANON turned into CANON by popular demand and logic perspective... see Star Trek and Star Wars. There are many instances.
