Maybe he can tell us why the 5 on the shirt of 1975 Kong Sr became an 8 for 1986 Kong Sr There's a very simple answer for that: money. By putting an "8" on the front of Kong Sr.'s shirt, Filmation could cut costs and save animation cels, because if he still had a "5" on his shirt, they'd have to draw an entirely new position. With the "8", they could simply "flip" the image and no-one would know the difference. I'm not condemning this practice; just telling you what I've read and what I think is the case.

Thanks nix! And I agree, I'm fine with that reason as well! And though I wouldn't have misread that information as a negative comment, it's always good to be as clear as we can be in text.
