Something I thought about as I was posting in the Belfry thread: What's the reason for the stone tablet? Someone has to be responsible for that game the boys had to play before they could get to their fathers and save the future, but I wonder who and why? One of my thoughts seems to be a little bit illogical because it would be a very dangerous game, but I think it's an interesting idea: Maybe the fathers of Eddie and Jake had devised the whole thing for the boys, so that they have to develop more self-confidence. Does anyone have more ideas?

It's odd, but the ending points to Belfry as the author (she [he?] winks to the camera).
I don't know about it...it's completely stupid as a plot device. On the one hand, it gives the new guys the solution to their problem (the shape of the thing), but on the other, it makes a hash of the "stable time loop" concept (Prime Evil gets stuck in the vault again).

Maybe Belfry - being strongly hinted as the responsible of that - wanted the (new) team being formed in the first place... a way to make Jake and Eddie grow as Ghostbusters and expand their skills as human beings. Well, it worked fine, he succeded.
