I voted for Jessica, though Futura's a close second. Both are strong-willed, independent ladies with hot looks to go with it. I see it this way...Jessica's a good potential wife--mature, nuturing, consistent paycheck. She's good for the business as well. Futura's good for fun, parties, and ghostbusting. Poor Jake--not an easy decision here, but he IS going on dates with Jessica. Might be the wiser-choice long-term. But hey, I'm all for Eddie and Futura! Go, Eddie, Go! Now that I think about it, they could have conceived a spin-off series featuring Futura, Jessica and a third (new) female character (not humanoid but human). How would have you called that?

I've also started to sketch out that request earlier in this thread by zacht of Jake returning back to human form from werewolf...though I've made it even more embarrassing for poor Jake. Eddie to the rescue (eventhough he wasn't expecting to in quite the way that he will be)! The only issue of getting these completed, is time. I'm returning back to full status at work starting next week and will have even less time to work on this stuff. Well, I expect some metamorphosis scenes featured on it which take clear inspiration from "An American Werewolf in London" LOL Glad to see Eddie as the main hero.

I always sensed that "something" was going on between them, extending beyond the mere "man/woman attraction". Yes, I definitely think they were dating at the time, but not constantly as you think. It was an early phase. They were still getting to know each other. This is something I think went beyond an early phase because it extended to the end of the series. In "The Haunted Painting" (the third episode before the end of the series), Jessica has a moment with Jake on the rubber duckies. The very next episode (second to the last in the series), "Maze Caves", Jessica takes Jake out as a treat for his upcoming birthday to that fancy burger place that required reservations. The other interesting tidbit I discovered while going through the episodes is that Futura is not seen in the entire last quarter of the series, whereas Jessica is in many of them. The only way to know for sure with where this love triangle went would be additional seasons of this show. One season doesn't dive deep enough into character development, but this series gave more hints than many even do in several seasons.
Using other cartoon triangles as reference that were produced in the same decade (Star Blazers, Robotech, Voltron)...the FGB triangle is following a similar path. But, like I said, the only way to know really would be if there were more seasons of the series.
I absolutely think there's no triangle, because Futura could secretly be interested into proposing herself to Eddie. I agree with you, Jake and Jessica's relationship could have evolved throughout the series.

Non male come storia, no? Concordo.

By the evidence in the show, Jake and Jessica are at the very least, dating. There's some very 'subtle' hints in some episodes too--a look between them, hands being held, etc. There's the hand-holding between Jake and Jessica towards the end of the episode in "Statue of Liberty" which is another hint to their relationship. I always sensed that "something" was going on between them, extending beyond the mere "man/woman attraction". Yes, I definitely think they were dating at the time, but not constantly as you think. It was an early phase. They were still getting to know each other. "Yeah, my dad lived 1000 years ago, but he jumps time to visit me sometimes." Hahaha so weird and funny. Well, at the end of the day, it doesn't truly matter, because the Ghostbusters timeline is fixed and cannot be altered in any way. So any "temporal" anomaly was already part of history and it occured the exact way it always occurred.

Lol, I thought the silliest episode was Mummy Dearest. Lol, they weren't even stark naked and they covered their crotch areas. If their boxers are like many, especially those printed ones from the 80's, there's an open fly there--no buttons or anything securing that center slit area. So, in 'clean' terms, there'd be quite the draft there and risk of exposure. So, the boys may have instinctively covered that area or risk 'parts' being seen or exposed. Good manners actually, considering there's a lady in their presence. Good insight. I absolutely agree with you.

So, I was rewatching the "Like Father, Like Son" episode and it got me thinking, we only see Jake's great grandfather turn completely into a werewolf. We see Grandpa Noah starting to, but in black and white. What would the other Kongs look like if they did end up becoming complete werewolves? Would gpa Noah be a silver/grey-furred werewolf given his age? Jake Sr. would probably look similar to Marshal Clint since they are similar in appearance. Would Jake Jr. be a blonde-furred werewolf? Interesting. I would say: YES. Jake Jr. turning into a blonde-furred werewolf is totally plausible to me. By the way, welcome to the forum. Glad to see new blood here.

I wouldn't mind that at all. Maybe they could say something along the lines of "a gorilla could have done this job better than you" LMAO that would be priceless...

Would that be cool? I guess so. Would be a nice and meaningful homage to the pioneers.
And what type of reference do you wish they do?

I'd have to watch "Great Ghost Gorilla" again. It's been a while, and the Discontinuity Guide needs an update. Great idea, buddy.

My own head-canon is that Zero gave Tracy advanced strength and intelligence in the far future. There's one reason why it's useful to have an animal on a Ghostbusting team: Being a gorilla, Tracy can see through magical glamours that the human Ghostbusters might fall for (as Spenser did when an ugly witch turned herself into a hawt babe). Yeah, but the specific episode I mentioned could be a cool "attempt" to give Tracy a Zero-unrelated significant origin which also opens the door for many other stories. It remins me of Monsieur Mallah, Doom Patrol's enemy.

Well... Ectobuggy, an Italian Go-er posting on the Italian sub-section of our forum, made me notice this. In the episode, it is strongly implied that some alien superhuman animals were "banished" on our planet Earth in the ancient past. Could Tracy be the descendant of alien supergorillas inhabiting the jungles of our planet, hidden from human eyes? It seems fascinating to think.
