Wish there was a way to get more chatty around here. We're so quiet. We have quite a few people viewing and visiting, but nobody's talking. Tons of visitors, very shy.

Whoa, such a terrific work. Your insight is magnificent, nothing else to add. Thank you so much for being here. (Jessica taller than Futura? Never noticed that, so funny) Thank you!
Yes, based on the eye levels on the model sheet, Jessica is indeed taller than Futura, though not by much. Jessica's slightly shorter than Jake based on eye level. But both ladies are wearing heels. That could throw off heights a bit if they took those off and were just on their natural feet. That would shorten them a little more. Jake's wearing what I could only assume to be a Converse canvas style high-top sneaker--a popular style in mid to late 1980's USA. There's very little cushion or lift in those so his shoes will have very little to no adjustment to his height.
Hell yes. I used to wear them, back in the old days. You cannot tweak your height that much LOL.

Now that I think about it, they could have conceived a spin-off series featuring Futura, Jessica and a third (new) female character (not humanoid but human). How would have you called that? It'd depend on what the third female's personality and job is. Jake has the added pressure of maintaining and potentially passing on the business to the next generation depending on how he inherited it himself. He also has quite the Kong lineage to maintain. So marriage and a wife are likely in his future. Third female could actually end up being a better fit for Eddie. I think Jake's had an eye on Jessica for a while (He mentions having watched her newscasts even before he actually met her and he acts a bit fanboyish when he initially meets her.). Or maybe, in line with Tracy The Gorilla from the "male" GB teams, why not a mutant warewolf girl? Or some other woman/animal hybrid? That would be extremely cool.

I got rid of the German and French sections. Totally silent and redundant.
I modified something here and there.
Any feedback? I hear you.

I definitely see the boys as being in their mid to late 20's. Actually, Pat Fraley, the voice actor for Jake Kong jr., has stated in an interview that was on the internet for a while that Jake was a teenager, and in fact Jake often sounds and seems like a teen, young, youthful and enthusiastic. In the interview on the bonus DVD from the cartoon's box set Pat Fraley also refers to Jake as a teenager. When asked how Filmation helped him to prepare for the role of Jake Kong, Pat Fraley answered that his research for Jake came from being a teenager himself for about 7 years. He also said that voicing Jake was the first time he worked for Filmation and the last time he got to do a teenager. So I always thought that Jake was maybe 19. He often seems to be quite grown up, but in many scenes he comes across as a teen. If he was older (and Eddie as well), the question is what the boys had been doing before their ghostbusting training? Did they have another job, something completely different? Why shouldn't they have started training immediately after finishing high school instead of working in another job first? So, the "teen age" makes sense to me. Very interesting. If they were older than that, far beyond adolescence, well, they must have done different jobs... I mean, why not? It's not a stretch thinking about Jake going to university or Eddie being employed somewhere. As simple as that, their fathers wanted them out of the ghostbusting business, deemed to be too dangerous for them in the very first place. Fact is, they don't wear teenager clothes. They seem older than that. My guess: They are both 24. Seems proper and legit.

WONDERFUL THREAD!
I deleted the same post from the other thread, as you requested.
Give me time to digest and metabolize the content, and I will (hopefully) provide some meaningful feedback. Oh, and I don't know New York LOL.

I agree with nixfgbfan. It's likely spelled differently depending on where you're from or even personal preference. It's the same principle with these words: "realize" and "realise" or the color "grey" is "gray" too. I guess this is the general consensus about it.

I can only assume that He-Man, and Alan Oppenheimer's turn as Skeletor, resulted in the creation of Prime Evil and his Usual Gang of Idiots. He-Man probably also inspired FGB's time- and space-faring adventures; She-Ra inspired Jessica and Futura. Quite funny, Jessica looks like a female version of Bow. Futura seems more in line with the "Princesses of Power" concept, rather than She-Ra herself.

That's a wonderful thing, which is so rare these days, especially on the internet. Bravo! Education matters.

I posted this in the thread related to this topic, but figured I'd post it here too since it's fanart. The 'what if' Jake Jr. ended up as a fully turned werewolf afterall--
The first one is loosely based on Filmation's Marshall Clint werewolf. The second, fullbody image is one of my own style. And yes, just like how Marshall Clint seemed to recognize or understand even in werewolf form, I believe Jake's mind could also control the werewolf nature to some extent, so I drew him still 'instinctively' busting ghosts--though werewolf style (no dematerializer here!)--in this case, one nosy brat-a-rat (Though Bratty's still a little happy that Prime Evil's plan of turning this ghostbuster into a werewolf succeeded eventhough he's caught and in a predicament now!).
I love these pictures to the nth degree, and find the concept as being very fascinating. I would love to see Jake retaining this "power" and use it to battle ghosts and demons. Why not?

On a side note, I'm pretty sure now that "Ghostbusters" was shot on 16mm, not 35mm. So not much quality has been lost in translation, thank God.

The most recent, Universal/Dreamworks release (Prime Evil, 2018) is as good or maybe slightly better than the BCI release. I think the sound was better based on my HD tv/HD dvd setup anyway. Good to know. Maybe they (also) improved the image picture through a mild DNR process.

I've pondered this too. In their younger days, Kong and Spenser Sr. would probably find it just as exciting (or lack thereof for the Spensers), but as they got older, this type of transformation would become an issue for aging bodies. Jake and Eddie Jr. would discover this probably a couple of decades further down the road. Older bodies ache faster, bruise easier, and are not nearly as flexible as younger ones. Flings, flips, leaps, slides, falls, etc. are not physical things older bodies can pull off easily, no matter how fit one is. So, I wonder if Jake and Eddie Jr. would stop using that whole transformation method at some point late in their Ghostbusting careers and is perhaps why their fathers were never given the knowledge of that room to begin with since they were already older. This is a very interesting long-term perspective. Or, even better, I guess Jake and Eddie would eventually recruit new, younger and hungry Ghostbusters at some point. And we'll never know why Zero recruited middle-aged men for his first Ghost Busters team, to begin with. This kinda opens a whole new can of worms IMHO.
