Here is a list of german translations for the names occurring in ghostbusters: These ones were taken originally from the english language:Spectre Snare Ghost Gummer Ghostbuggy (GB) All names of Prime Evils ghosts Bonetroller Futura (The pronunciation is a little bit different in german than in english.) Time Hopper Laser (The pronunciation is a little bit different in german than in english. It's terrible!) Here are some german words:Dematerializer ↔ Dematerialisator or Dematerialisierer Foxglove ↔ (Robert) Redfox (It seems to be an allusion to Robert Redford) Ghost Command ↔ Ghostkommando Ansabone ↔ Skelefon (only in the comics!) Tooth Scaries ↔ Zahnschmerzlinge (it makes no sense, but so what… ) This is for the Beginning. I will add more of them soon. Is it interesting for you as well if I list the translations of the german titles of the cartoon series which are different to the original titles? Some of them are a little bit strange…

In germany many names were taken originally from the english language. But some of them were translated. I will start a thread for this topic, so you can see what I mean!

Definitely Futura!
I don't like Jessica very much but maybe this opinion is based on her german dub voice. In the original cartoon it's much better.
Anyway, Futura rules! She's cool, she's ghostbustress, she's my favorite…
Besides I like Apparitia and Mysteria, too.

Oh, sorry. I've looked through the forum but I've overlooked this thread.
Great! That are interesting facts about the first car of the ghostbusters!

(This Thread was merged by Devil of the Ghostbusters) I'd like to know a little bit more about the ghostbuggies. Does anyone know the automobile manufacturer of the ghostbuggies or in which year these car brands were manufactured? Do you have more information about the ghostbuggies? Concerning the cartoon ghostbuggies I'd like to know if there are car types whereon they are based.

His nose twitches when ghosts are nearby. My idea rather is that Jake is simply allergic to ghosts.

I hope it will work. This is the list from my website so far. It's in german but there are a lot of cute pictures. www.ghostcommand.de/indexmain.php?d=GBI don't know how much transformations are currently missing. But I will discover it soon and update my website accordingly!

This one introduces 2 rifle looking lazer weapons (the Spectral Scrambler and the Fiend Frazzler) which sort of remind me of (sony) proton guns. Once again like the comics, this story confirms that the Filmation Ghostbusters are indeed from NY. The climax of the story the illustrations don't match the words, as a gummer is not there. I had the same thoughts when I read the book. This is the french one: Server/FGB/ghostbusters.rar It seems to be the same story as in the episode »Train To Doom-De-Doom-Doom«.

That's funny! I revere Larry Storch as much as Elvis.
I've just looked into my dictionary and found out that »to carry a torch for someone« means the same thing. (That makes sense when I translate this into german.)
Thereby I noticed another wordplay: To carry a (s)torch for someone…
By the way, the german word »Storch« means in english »stork«.

Hey, that's a good idea! I shall start a thread with the german equivalents of the names, too! Is there such a thread already?

I don't like Belfry very much, but I love Beauregard! So I would prefer »Beauregard! And Filmation's Ghostbusters« ;D However I would watch every show to see the other characters again! By the way, I fell deeply in love with Foxglove! In the german version he's called »Robert Redfox«.

In the picture with Tracy and the hole in the desk, is that a cat behind him next to the tissues and behind the calendar? Yes, that's Simon's Cat! For more take a look at this link: www.simonscat.com And thanks for the compliments. This one is titled »companion in misfortune«. Or: Something about frindship: Is this alliance possibly the reasen why the ghostbusters are so scared…?
